The truth is that I am the embodiment of all the qualities of God. But how dare I make a declaration like that about myself, knowing myself humanly as I do? How dare I make that statement for myself unless I also make it for you? How dare I say that I embody all the God-qualities, that I am as eternal as God, as immortal as God, that I am the Christ- son of God? How dare I say that and leave out any individual anywhere on earth-past, present, or future-any individual in hell or in heaven? I dare not, I dare not! It would be spiritual wickedness to announce my Christhood and refuse to accept the fact that this is a universal truth. God is bidding every individual on the face of the globe to awaken to his true identity. “Awake thou that sleepest!” Christhood is our true identity, not good humanhood, not bad humanhood.

Religion No More!!

Christianity led me out of Christianity.

At the risk of sounding like I’m talking down or judging others (which I am not), Christianity CAN be a great conveyor belt. It was there that I learned from educators how to interpret the Bible using context, history, intention of the author, Greek and Hebrew, etc. But it was those exact tools that led me to discover that practically everything I ever heard in church wasn’t even in the Bible.

I was part of a charismatic stream that believed in healing, gifts, and the power of God, so I learned to flow in “the Spirit” in ministry by staying in tune with my heart. But it was that very presence of energy that I found that Qigong and healing energy practitioners participated successfully in.

While I learned to listen to God’s voice as a still small voice and in dreams and visions from the spontaneous non brain generated heart centered source, I eventually realized that it wasn’t an outside person speaking to me, but my own heart. That intuition that comes from our spirit/heart is connected to a universal field of awareness that everyone can tap into. Law of Attraction folks and even studies find everyone does this. We just had it repackaged for us as God speaking. But starting in church started the journey.

The emphasis that we placed on love as Jesus modeled, ie unconditional non-judgmental value of others without the need to control, became the very context to be able to explore truth beyond the boundaries of religion itself. This is why religion is afraid of love… it creates an environment where religious leadership loses its grip on individual’s and their journey. And the definition of a cult includes the fear motivation created to keep people from any ideas outside their own.

Eventually I saw that the christianity that claims to follow Jesus has been the source of wars, hatred and limitations for advancement in science etc from the start. Having a transgender child showed me that there really is more love in the world than in the church (though a lot of our christian friends were supportive). You should hear the horror stories in LGBT support groups.

By pastoring people of all ages and races I learned about community and stewarding relationships. Most people have their family as the group which challenges their rough edges, but imagine being “responsible” for a couple hundred people! That world helped me to grow and to learn leadership, but that also caused me to see that one cannot really lead an organization financially without playing the church game of nickels and noses. You have to stay within the lines where its not about truth, its about regurgitating in fresh ways what is already believed. In other words it gave me a first hand experience of learning the church will never, imo, be a context for truth seeking. Politics and expectations and money will always stifle it.

So I am thankful that the journey itself was indeed like a conveyor belt carrying me one moment at a time further. Does that mean that someone in church today is stupid? Not any more than I am right now compared to my future self. It is just a place and I dont think I could have made it here without being there first.

Some family and friends will not understand because they don’t yet have the framework to understand and that is not my problem. I can’t import into another the thousands of books I’ve read, the experiences I’ve had, the meanings I’ve seen and the conclusions I’ve come to. Every counseling session I did for others was really a learning experience for myself. So it is an impossibility for anyone to ever literally “understand” and that’s ok.

All these people now are asking me if I still believe in Jesus, like I have to fit into a category. Or assume I am an atheist if my beliefs about Jesus don’t fit theirs. I’m not really interested in being categorized, lol. My mission here on FB is just to get people to think/see something they may have missed before, and in so doing maybe they will go on their own journey of self and truth discovery because no one goes looking for answers to questions they aren’t asking. My goal isn’t to threaten your faith, but to clarify it by getting you to ask your own questions.

Do Not Try to Become Free of Persons or Conditions
Healing is all based on not judging by appearances, not putting value in concepts, but in every case realizing, “You are an effect and you have not power.” Never try to become free from anyone or anything. No person in reality has any power, and this truth will be your freedom. You will not be free from anything or anybody, but you will be free the very minute you know there never was power in a condition, a circumstance, or a person. They you will find yourself as free as you are free from the water on the desert once you know it is not water but only mirage.
When you are free from the mirage on the desert, you have not become free from water because there was no water there. So it is when you discover you are free from person or condition; it is not really true because there never was a menacing or dangerous person or condition there. You are free now from a mirage, from a belief that there is a power, a person, or a presence outside of God. Every person is the presence of God because God is present as person, as individual you or me.
You are not separate and apart from God and, through this work, going to get back to God. Through this work, you are going to awaken out of the dream that there can be any separation. If you have been dreaming you are drowning in the ocean, awakening does not take the water away from you; and it does not take you out of the ocean. It reveals to you that you are in bed. So this work never takes you out of sin, disease, or lack. It wakes you up, and then you look around and realize you are in heaven. You have been there all the time, dreaming you were in hell.
As long as you are seeing a person or a condition as having power and are judging good and evil, you are in the dream. The moment you can withdraw your judgment and realize, “You are neither good nor evil; you are neither dead nor alive; you are neither rich nor poor: you are Spirit,” you are waking up, out of the dream, to the mystical consciousness of oneness. When that realization comes, the dream is no longer there. This is something that must be done individually as well as collectively.
This truth that I am giving you has been revealed throughout the ages many times and in many ways, and it is a truth that will make people free. We could be free of sins, disease, wars, lacks, and limitations right now if we could be made to accept this truth.

Christ in you destroys beliefs that are untrue, and this is how the Christ works. It destroys that which is unreal. It destroys the human concepts we entertain. That’s why we’re told, no might or power is necessary. In fact, if you used might, the sword, if you used power, all you would do would be to restore a physical condition. When Christ restores, there is the added understanding of Spiritual Identity, and this restoration is not restoring just a physical condition, but lifting into a higher level of Self. That’s why might and power, although they might restore the boundary of a country, they’re not restoring Spiritual Identity. That’s why when we concentrated just on the physical world, we never restored Spiritual Identity. And, we are still confronted with the ups and downs of the physical world that we’ve accepted.

I had a chat with Paul

Awareness early

I HAD A CHAT WITH PAUL
“How can I leave the world entirely and live only in my soul?” I queried.
“MAKE YOURSELF BLIND.” came his instantaneous response.
I’m not a stranger to such directives, having spent my early childhood looking away from the body and into divine Spirit. I didn’t even stumble over the preposterous ramifications of the body’s imminent objections!
“I want to do it, but how?” was my uncompromising plea.
“Stay in your soul. God lives as you there. And I will sup with you anytime…” (Paul must’ve picked that up from Joel.) “…for as long as you want.”
Immediately I wanted to test Paul. He replied “Your Damascus journey is nearly through. You must consciously rest in full Spirit awareness, knowing as you do that at that moment, your answer, your hope, is your fait acomplí.”
“But what about . . .?”
Paul was gone.

Below is my response to a query:

It’s hard to describe in human language but I’ll try. My yearning to never step outside Spirit awareness had been getting stronger and stronger; it couldn’t be satisfied with a flippant “just rest” admonition anymore. I thought about Paul and wondered what my unique method should be. Then it occurred to me that, in Spirit, Paul is ever-present. So I got up the courage to simply, wordlessly, ask.

I have to confess that the blindness that I “saw” was the world and all its baubles, the flesh and all its sorrows, mortal mind and its desperate attempts to get ahead. I saw through it as Jesus did and what beauty and glory there was in its stead!

There was nothing strange or surreal going on. I was basking in my soul (aware of God living as me) when a very familiar wish presented itself for the umpteenth time, namely, wanting to never go back to world mind. Then I just thought of Paul and simply posed my question. It’s extremely important to note that it wasn’t any kind of human will exercise at all.

FOLLOW-UP ON CHAT WITH PAUL
I believe there’s a top-down approach and a bottom-up non-approach to spiritual communion. I wasn’t focused on a human-like curiosity-driven aspiration but rather a longing, over a very long period of time, to stay grounded in Spirit alone. It wasn’t my human mind that “thought” of Paul but my soul – our Soul – that received Paul’s answer before the question was entirely formulated. I knew immediately that it had nothing to do with human blindness, self-imposed or otherwise. This realm knows of no such thing as time, so immortal Paul and immortal Joel and immortal You&me have always been.

Another time I visited a dentist to ascertain about a tooth that seemed out of order. He advised me that the trouble was seated in the jaw-bone and that he could not possibly rectify that condition without extracting the tooth. I called upon another dentist for advice and he told me the same thing, adding: “I am sorry but I could no more heal that condition for you than I could grow hair on my bald head.” I went home and thought the matter over carefully. I did not want to lose that tooth. I knew that before I could accomplish anything for myself that I would have to kill the fear I had, the fear that the trouble would lead to grave consequences as the dentists had pointed out. After several hours of reading and meditation I arrived at this conclusion: According to the science of Being there is only perfection in Life; no laws of dentists interfere with it, and no lie about perfection ever touches or contaminates it. After seeing this very clearly so that I gained a clear mental conviction of this fact, I lost every vestige of fear and in three days of this right thinking I was happy and rejoicing. I kept right on feeling convinced of the Truth that I was thinking and after two weeks the mouth was in a normal condition and all trouble with that tooth was at an end. So, I say again, do not let appearances deceive you, but mentally insist that all Nature and Life is forever manifesting Itself in harmony and in perfection. The moment you know a thing is true, that moment has begun the visible unfoldment and embodiment of that thing for you, for there is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.

Religion No More!!

Before there was an Internet, people who wanted to get together with other seekers of spiritual Truth got together in abodes called churches under the rubric of religion, sharing in the cost of doing so. That is non-malevolent history. Things have changed. Why do we keep looking back, looking back, looking back and cursing our roots? Let’s just move on.
