QUESTION: Herb frequently references soul and spirit as the fifth and sixth heavens respectively. I was wondering if anyone could tell me as to how he saw/defined soul and spirit and as to the relationship between them?

ANSWER: Herb draws much of this from the works of Enoch, found in the Pseudographa the dead sea scrolls and other writings which were systematically removed from the Bible. These were the major teachings of the Essenes…the sect which Jesus belonged to and taught.
Enoch’s teachings about the seven heavens is also mirrored in John’s Revelation.
He speaks at length about Enoch, Revelations and the seven realms. I thought the same thing at one point, and one particular talk brought it into focus for me. I’ll have to dig that up for you. (I have the habit of jumping all over the place. lol)

Of course, beyond this, I’m sure he was given inner instruction on these works.
He was put through a period of inner “initiation” to prepare him for the teaching work and, like Joel, received constant guidance throughout.

I don’t know if this will clear it all up, but it helped shed some light for me, when cross-referenced with Revelations.

Having trouble seeing people as spiritual?
Are you perhaps looking at their form and mentally translating it to a quasi-spiritual mental image of a form?
It’s progress, yes, but it’s not really Christ-consciousness.
See them as Wholeness rather than finite form of light.
Wait a minute! Hold the phone!
You haven’t really seen yourself as a Whole being, so how could you be expected to see the other person spiritually?
If you do succeed in doing this you will have embarked on an entirely new way of seeing.
Start by knowing yourself to be the Spirit.
Now let the concept of physicality dissolve before your spiritual eyes.
Realize that Spirit is not finite, not limited, doesn’t exist in a room.
You are not a finite being.
You can see the nature of your own self having never been born, never dying.
As Spirit you’ll never become anything but what you are.
Always Spirit.
You can literally lay down your life and pick it up again because God isn’t in a mortal body.
The material scene is but objectified human concepts.
Take yourself out of this scene and throw off its boundaries.
Let your Wholeness live itself without the finite concept imposing.
Lay down your false sense of life by opening it up from beginning to ending.
You. Have. No. Beginning. – No. Time.
No. Place. Called. Space.
No. Substance. Called. Physicality.
Spirit is Spirit – concept free!
Enter the realm that TRANSCENDS THE MIND.
Get out of finite thinking because it can never take you into the infinite.
Only Spiritual consciousness delivers.
Your Christ consciousness causes you to see God “face-to-face.”
AS YOU DWELL IN THIS NO-MAN’S-LAND ABOVE HUMAN THINKING, YOU ARE LAYING DOWN YOUR LIFE, YOUR PERSONAL SENSE OF SELF.
An awareness is arising in you now that all around you is a universe which you never could have seen with the mind you just left behind!
A tad scary?
You’re no longer thinking and yet you’re no longer in that familiar realm.
YOU’RE WAITING FOR THE FACULTIES OF THE SOUL TO ASSERT THEMSELVES.
It’s your turn now to supply the missing link which you previously weren’t privy to.
Reach within your own being to the kingdom of God.
You’re not trying to find the Christ, your real consciousness: you ARE that Christ. “It is I.” That’s your real Self.
When you are your own Being, the evils of the world dissolve.
The Substance of the Father IS the Substance of the Son.
And the Son rests in God.
In the Substance of the Father we become aware of the reality of HARMONY.
Now see that “other person” free!
