Raptureless and free!

I’m thrilled to hear that Andrew Wommack no longer believes in a coming rapture. He’s one of my faves because he refuses to stay locked into traditional interpretations of ancient scriptures with no regard for the languages and cultures of the age.

Raptureless is a great study into this matter. It has been observed by many scholars and teachers that a future coming rapture was introduced into theological studies recently (about 200 years old)
If many would take their time to revisit it they would also discover what we are seeing. Recently I even read a post by Andrew Wommack that he no longer believes in a forth coming rapture.
Simeon Edigbe

If I had been deeply steeped in futurism at the time I met Simeon or Simon or Chuck or Don K. Preston on FB, I personally wouldn’t have been ready for their message on preterism, but thank God for Andrew Wommack who taught painstakingly on the fact that we must, we must, we must not get entangled with traditional mindsets when it comes to our own reading and interpreting of the Bible. The Bible is subject to new revelation because we should be guided by the Holy Spirit and allow ourself to have our minds open to the cultures and the languages and the mores and the timeframes of the ancient contributors to the Bible especially the whole Jewish backdrop that prevails there and then. Andrew has taken a great deal of abuse from the press and from people who refuse to imagine that there could have been mistakes in people’s interpretations of the Bible over thousands of years. I get it that it’s very disconcerting to change anything about one’s theology when they are so public and relied upon by millions of people and for that reason I really, really appreciate Andrew’s courage to come out and teach us to have COURAGE as well!

Lolol

Nostalgia isn’t what it used to be.

Right now I’m having amnesia and deja vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before..

I have been through some terrible things in my life, some of which actually happened.

A lot of people cry when they chop onions. The trick is not to form an emotional bond.

Experts have found the following analysis to be nearly 100% accurate.

1. The Wall Street Journal is read by the people who run the country.

2. The Washington Post is read by people who think they run the country.

3. The New York Times is read by people who think they should run the country, and who are very good at crossword puzzles.

4. USA Today is read by people who think they ought to run the country but don’t really understand The New York Times.

5. The Los Angeles Times is read by people who wouldn’t mind running the country, if they could find the time and if they didn’t have to leave Southern California to do it.

6. The Boston Globe is read by people whose parents used to run the country.

7. The New York Daily News is read by people who aren’t too sure who’s running the country and don’t really care as long as they can get a seat on the train.

8. The New York Post is read by people who don’t care who is running the country as long as they do something really scandalous, preferably while intoxicated.

9. The Chicago Tribune is read by people that are in prison that used to run the state, & would like to do so again, as would their constituents that are currently free on bail.

10. The Miami Herald is read by people who are running another country, but need the baseball scores.

11. The San Francisco Chronicle is read by people who aren’t sure if there is a country or that anyone is running it; but if so, they oppose all that they stand for. There are occasional exceptions if the leaders are gay, handicapped, minority, feminist, atheists, and those who also happen to be illegal aliens from any other country or galaxy, provided of course, that they are not Republicans.

12. The National Enquirer is read by people trapped in line at the grocery store.

13. The Seattle Times is read by people who have recently caught a fish and need something to wrap it in.

How can we know if we’re racist?

“Black Lives Matter” is not racist at all! It is the cry of disenfranchised people who perceive that their lives lack value. When we say “Black Lives Matter,” it does not mean other lives don’t — they absolutely do — just that our lives matter, TOO!

Apply a little empathy, here: imagine having to answer your children’s question, “Daddy, why do the police keep killing black people?”

This is my reality. Somehow, I have to bolster their faith in God, their trust in humanity, and their hope for a peaceful and prosperous life.

How would YOU deal with this?

Honestly, the lack of empathy among those who purport to be in the Body of Christ is saddening.

Lord, help us…

TONGUES

Speaking in tongues is an amazing way of allowing yourself to hear God speak to you in the spirit without all the barriers that language imposes. The devil isn’t privy to what gets communicated because he’s being drowned out. The communications are 100% pure, loving, encouraging, inspiring, exhilarating and wonderful!

JESUS PAID IT ALL, SO OUR BEGGING GOD FOR FORGIVENESS (REPENTING ALL THE TIME) IS SUPERFLUOUS AT BEST !!

People often just don’t get it.
What am I saying?
I often just don’t get it!!!
(Or, at least, I tend to lose track of it.)
Now, I’m not talking about those big jail-baiting sins, lol !
But I often hear myself silently saying:
“Oh I’m so sorry, God, I went off track again :'(
Please forgive me, Jesus!”
But now it’s time to quit that whole mindset
Just … simply … let … it … go !!!

Healing of grief

I lost my sister when she was 19 – auto accident – no warning, suddenly the light of my life – gone! She was 11 years younger than me. Very, very bright, compassionate leader in every way, loving, beautiful – gone! Shocked to the core! When my mother called to tell me, she prefaced it with “We must remember that God is Life.” I clung to her preface for my dear life and God took me through the “grieving process” miraculously!!! . I was told by many, many people that I was a tremendous inspiration to them. This glorious healing is available to anyone who asks. April, my sister, is always with me – in a very happy way.

I have always had a major issue with regard to the generally held construct of prayer. I spend hours and hours alone with the Holy Spirit every day but I don’t do an awful lot of talking – as I just love to listen. When I have issues and don’t know quite how to present them, He tells me “That’s alright, Robin, I got this one. Here’s what We’ll do . . .” We!!! . Did you get that? . We!!! . The answers are always spot on! . When I need a little help during the day, I sometimes just say (silently is fine) “Jesus, help!” . He’s there in a flash (‘cuz he never left!). None of this fits the ‘Our Father’ paradigm as I never need to beseech Him for anything. Even when I try a kind of standardized prayer, He just waits til I quit. But, how to pray for others? Pray in tongues. But, sometimes they have a grocery list of things they need covered? . Pray in tongues. What if… What if… What if… Pray in tongues.

David didn’t have this (New Covenant) type of relationship under the Old Covenant. Therefore, when he was repenting over his sin with Bathsheba and Uriah, he prayed,

“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit” (Ps. 51:10-12).

However, for us as New Testament believers to pray this same prayer would be an insult to what Christ has done for us. God created a new heart in us when we were born again (2 Cor. 5:17) and sealed it with His Holy Spirit so it would never be polluted again (Eph. 1:13). He promised He would never leave us nor forsake us (Heb. 13:5), and His love, joy, and peace are now a permanent part of our born-again spirits (Gal. 5:22). Yet multitudes of New Testament Christians pray and sing the exact opposite of this.

Therefore, most Christians aren’t bold in their relationship with the Lord. They approach the Lord with fear of punishment and rejection. They fear they aren’t worthy and that they haven’t done enough to earn the right to be in His presence. They still believe their relationship with the Lord depends on their performance, and mixing the Old and the New Covenant makes the Word of God void in their lives.

Andrew Wommack

In order not to lose the gift of this beautiful Psalm and many, many others, I simply pray (as inspired by Andrew) “Thank you, dear God, that You already have created in me a clean heart through Jesus and have renewed a right spirit within me.” ……. Then I’m good to go, free of mixing, adding or distorting.

The English language – and every other language on the planet – is so deficient in depicting EXACTLY what we are experiencing. The Law has been completely fulfilled at Calvary. Jesus does not have to die for us again: we are redeemed (from the Law). Being born again, the old man is GONE along with the sin nature. We need to accept what is already done by renewing our minds every day – again and again UNTIL WE “KNOW” IT IN OUR ENTIRE BEING. AMEN
Galatians 2:16 KJV
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Tolerance

A THOUGHT ABOUT TOLERATION
by Dr. Robin Starbuck

I just don’t think Christians are anywhere near tolerant enough – OF EACH OTHER !! . This simply should not be! . We’re all doing our level best to represent Jesus; but some of us act like we have THE LAST WORD !! . When was the last time we felt a deep loving appreciation for our brother who doesn’t see endtimes or communion or politics exactly as we do?
I was recently raked over the coals for being too open-minded!! . Sounds oxymoronic to me, but let me love in return. Whatever your path is, whatever your calling . . . that’s YOUR calling, your way, and it most certainly doesn’t fit every one of us! . Lack of forgiveness is the greatest enemy to a healthy mind and body. Let’s dump our own opinions about how another person ought to be conducting their ministry once and for all. Let’s ask Jesus to enable us to let go of all COMPETITIVENESS – which necessarily emanates from FEAR – and harness our God-given love for everyone in its stead!
