HEALING NOTES
1. I remember a healing (demonstration) like it was yesterday. One moment it seemed everything that could go wrong in my life was out of control. Next moment I was singing and dancing and free.
2. I had read, communed, meditated, prayed. AND I made sure to apply the answer(s) to whatever was vying for attention.
3. What changed? I did. I then gave up all personal effort and determined to see my oneness with God instead.

ENCOURAGEMENT re. EDUCATION
Early in my education pursuit I took a course in Philosophy and had to write a paper on Aristotle’s Physics. I found it unbelievably difficult and began to think that higher education was not for me. Then I heard in my spirit “You can do it. Take it one line at a time and discuss what it means to you.”
I obeyed this directive: ONE LINE AT A TIME. Within a few hours I had the whole paper written and got an “A” on it. I got an “A” in the course too which meant so much to me because I had been tempted to give up but persevered instead, with no outside help.

The thing Ive found is that, overall, debate really doesn’t do anything for the two people debating. It just hardens them into defending a position rather than having a conversation.
I think Facebook debating tends to be pointless and wastes everyones time. The one who jumps on thinks they made a good point to counter the post but to what end? What difference does it make? It doesnt change the mind of the original post-er 99% of the time and it only strokes the ego of the one who has to “speak their mind.”
Now a conversation about a topic we disagree on… with a friend… I thoroughly enjoy. The rest, IMO, is just a waste.
If the goal is really communication and understanding then debating on Facebook will never accomplish it.

Debates ought to conform to the topic initially raised. For example, if the topic is “how to become prosperous”, sixteen or so biblically-based arguments on the morality or amorality of gaining money would not be suitable imho.

How to still the mind, study and heal oneself
Your questions are very good but they require a deeper study to get the real meaning. Simple answers cannot possibly convey the more complex background in which everything begins to make perfect sense You could lead your whole community into a deeper understanding of glorious Spiritual enlightenment by starting a study of it. You could teach people how to heal themselves by explaining to them that their real being is in God, especially their mind. Right where they feel limited to a material body and brain the absolute fact is that they are Spiritual beings instead.

You may need more preparation
IF YOU WOULiD LIKE TO GROW in your Spiritual apprehension and it doesn’t seem to be happening, here’s one possible reason: maybe – for your particular goal – a passive approach is inadequate.
You want to do more but people keep telling you to ‘rest’. You may not even be sufficiently aware of the spiritual significance of such expressions. Perhaps you’re constantly encountering terminology that you’re not quite sure you’ve fully grasped. You want to protest vehemently from time to time but are beginning to sense that you don’t really know what you’re disagreeing with!
If you can relate to any of the above, well, it seems to me that you’re a great candidate for a much more rigorous plan of study.
I personally have more than 50 years of the teachings of Joel S. Goldsmith under my belt. Being free of the crippling constraints of religion, I was also able to do a very in-depth study of A Course in Miracles where I made it my business to meditate and apply all the Principles – 365 of them – many, many times!
Then I began to consume everything Andrew Wommack ever said about anything. What a pure, fresh treatment of everything biblical!
And now, try as I do, I just can’t get enough of Herb Fitch (Joel Goldsmith’s adoring student). I never thought anyone could be more audacious than Joel, but Herb proved me wrong. Herb will not let you escape with a half-hearted effort at anything. If you want healing and you have a lovely mixture of Truth and error, you can expect not to succeed. There are no brownie points for partial practice! You finally come to realize that you are accountable. You can have/do whatever you want if you apply spiritual principles; but, alas, you can not if you do not.

What I’m looking for
I’M LOOKING FOR SOMETHING WAY, WAY BEYOND having a lovely day and a lovely life in the world while thinking about God.
I don’t ask for ease and great comfort in the fleshly dream. I’m glad for whatever it takes to awaken me completely.
I don’t yearn to leave you and go off holding hands with Jesus: I yearn to get it all into print just how and what it means to literally be the light.
Yes, I have a few annoyances that appear to be limiting, but I know better: they’re my vehicle to a higher, deeper level of Christ consciousness as my only consciousness! In this pure awareness I experience none of the annoyances at all.
The answer to ‘why don’t I just stay here?’ is that’s exactly what I am doing.
