In a café I told the waiter I wanted coffee. He set the milk pitcher down and I pushed it away. He said what DO you want? Coffee. He set the milk pitcher down again and I pushed it away again. Waddaya want then? Coffee, black coffee. He brings it with an assortment of sweeteners to which I added I don’t need those either. He brought the coffee in a dainty little cup and saucer. I said [ i thought it was inaudible] I prefer a mug. He brought the coffee back in a mug on a saucer. I pushed away the saucer.

If you had some kind of malfunction in your computer – and if you were smart – you wouldn’t hate finding it coz it was already there! You’d be glad it revealed itself so you could take measures to have it expunged!
You could give it a spiritual treatment seeing absolute perfection right where the problem seems to be. “Miraculously”, your mind clears, your anxiety subsides and the rest is case by case….
My point here is WHEN ANY UNWANTED THOUGHT KEEPS PRESENTING ITSELF, GIVE IT A THOROUGH SPIRITUAL TREATMENT. Once you can really see through the malady, you can dismiss its reappearance with great confidence, and you know what else? You can expect more good to come out of it than you ever dreamed possible!

Empty Fullness

As a kid, I used to lie on the ground and watch the busy little ants at work. Sometimes one got hopelessly stuck when faced with an obstacle. I would do what any sweet little girl (unlike a boy, ugh!) would do – I removed the obstacle. 100% of the time the ant would run away scared!
Isn’t that what we do when we awaken to the absence of a long-cherished obstacle? We take out our psychology, philosophy, hermeneutics and explain away what was just the greatest awakening of our tiny little lives?
