A Difficult Question
We need brutal honesty here – are you up to it? If not, please move on.
What if you got a very reliable communication from ‘above’ telling you that – in this here and now realm – this is as good as it gets? Cease and desist from all petitions for human, material improvement? No more visits with the Lord to discuss your agenda – at all? Would you stomp your feet, scream and shout, weep and wail: “If this is my only container and environment, what do I need God for?” If so, you’ve found the SOURCE OF ALL YOUR TROUBLES !! Think on it.

When I was in my twenties, people came to me for counseling on how to get their lives straightened out, often to avoid disaster. One young woman was in a flood of tears at the prospect of having to give up her ultra-glamorous life … as a hooker.
A young man was beside himself because his memory was “shot to hell”: he’d start sentences and couldn’t finish them because he couldn’t remember what he had said. He couldn’t even remember how many joints (of Marijuana) he was carrying in his socks.
A social drinker reached the 4-5 martini liquid lunch and complained that he, being Japanese, shouldn’t be expected to consume an equal amount as his counter-part, an American businessman who was twice his size and weight.
No one wanted to give up their addictions – their glamorous lives – they just wanted me to do a little patchwork. IT JUST DOESN’T WORK THAT WAY !!
Who really wants to be addicted? Those who are sufficiently enabled seem to…
Healing started very young
I have had a lot of really tough battles all my life but I wouldn’t trade them for anything because God has shown me a direct correlation between each one of them and the spiritual growth that I enjoy today. Having said that, you won’t believe how young I was when I first took God and His willingness to heal seriously! I was under 5 years old! I had 3 devastating illnesses since birth and was left pretty much alone with my Bible to get myself healed.

When you ask, reach out in faith and receive!
This message (post) by Mike Carter is extremely powerful. I believe that literally millions of us over the years – if we ask at all – ask in a very wimpy unbelieving manner and then do precious little to simply reach out and accept. We pray for healing and then act sick. We pray for abundance and then leave it on the ground. If we’re really enlightened little darlings we pray for more awareness and then act like unloving idiots. Thank God the faith that He’s talking about is the faith of Jesus and not of us!

It is always “Oh you of little FAITH!!”
When you understand what faith is, even His indictments are encouragements! Having faith is having a HAND THAT TAKES! Jesus is saying to them, “Why do you take from me so little?? Why do you trust me so little?? I am God incarnate, there is a fullness that is inexhaustible! COME TAKE FROM ME! Why do you take so little?? Oh you of little faith! TAKE! TAKE! TAKE! And please me!”

*The God mentioned above is only found through Jesus. This has nothing to do with New Age philosophy – namely that there are many ways to reach God. New Age authors Do Not Believe That Jesus Is The Only Way. They open the door to other gods. When you find unending confusion, unbridled moments of ecstasy and despair, a constant ebb and flow, mountains and valleys, you’ve probably entered that spirit realm that is Not Of God.

Revelation was fulfilled with the fall of Jerusalem AD70.
WHEN WOULD THEY SAY TO THE MOUNTAINS “FALL ON US” AND TO THE HILLS “COVER US”?
Isaiah 2:2 The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. 2 Now it shall come to pass in the latter days (“last days” KJV) 10 Enter into the rock, and hide in the dust, From the terror of the LORD…19 They shall go into the holes of the rocks And into the caves of the earth,…From the terror of the LORD And the glory of His majesty, When He arises to shake the earth mightily.
Notice again the context here… the latter days, the last days is associated with the day of the Lord, a day of judgment for the proud and haughty and lofty would also be a time when the mountain of the Lord’s house, which is the kingdom of God, will be exalted above the hills which are the little kingdoms and nations.
Jesus applied this passage to HIS day, not a future day.
In Luke 23 Jesus is being led to his death and he turns to the women who are weeping for him and this is what he said,
“27 And a great multitude of the people followed Him, and women who also mourned and lamented Him. 28 But Jesus, turning to THEM, said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for Me, but weep for YOURSELVES and for YOUR children. 29 For indeed the days ARE COMING in which they will say, ‘Blessed are the barren, wombs that never bore, and breasts which never nursed!’ 30 Then they will begin ‘to say to the mountains, “Fall on us!” and to the hills, “Cover us!”’
THEN…
Revelation 6:15 Then the kings of the earth and the great men and the commanders and the rich and the strong and every slave and free man hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains; 16 and they said to the mountains and to the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the presence of Him who sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb; 17 for the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to stand?”
What Isaiah calls the last days, Jesus says is coming soon TO THEM in THEIR DAY, and then the same thing is said in Revelation BECAUSE it all refers to the same event.
Revelation has been fulfilled in the fall of Jerusalem in AD70.
