Do not be in conflict with yourself -RAdams

Do not be in conflict with yourself
Do not be in conflict with your thoughts and the self. When there is no conflict there are no thoughts. Thoughts only appear because there’s conflict. By conflict I mean, you’re worrying about getting rid of your thoughts, you’re doing sadhana, meditation, pranayamas, japa. All of these things cause conflict.
For aren’t you saying, ‘I’m doing these things to become liberated. I’m doing these things to become free.’ The reason there’s a the conflict is because you’re already free and liberated. Therefore when you give yourself the information that you have to do something to become liberated, there is immediately conflict.

Fourth Dimension videos -JSG

JESUS WAS AN AUTHORIZED HEBREW RABBI BUT WHEN HE TAUGHT NEW PRINCIPLES HE WAS CRUCIFIED.
YOU HAVE TO LEAVE YOUR PRINCIPLES AND FOLLOW ME. GO ON LIVING IN THIS WORLD OR DO YOU HAVE THE COURAGE TO CLEAR OUT ALL YOU THOUGHT TO BE TRUE? IT’S THAT SHARP A CLEAVAGE.
PRINCIPLES OF THE INFINITE WAY VS. SOLVING A PROBLEM.
WIPE OUT ALL THE OLD BOTTLES.
THAT’S WHAT SEPARATED ME FROM ALL TEACHINGS. I WASN’T INTERESTED IN TEACHINGS, I WAS INTERESTED IN THE PRINCIPLES OF LIFE.
Healings especially when sometimes there are and sometimes there are not don’t prove that there is a God because God is no respecter of persons. What I meant rested in finding God Who doesn’t change from day-to-day. And for that I realized I needed to go into a different realm, a dimension of life that doesn’t require physical might or mental power. This is why Jesus allowed himself to be crucified.
NO ONE INCLUDING THE DISCIPLES WAS WILLING TO GIVE UP THEIR HEBREW LAWS OF BAPTISM, CIRCUMCISION, DIETARY RESTRICTIONS. FINALLY YEARS LATER PETER DID.
YOUR BODY WHICH WAS GIVEN AS AN INSTRUMENT BY GOD WILL NOW BE GOVERNED BY YOU AND NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND.
You will take no thought and let God govern the universe including your body.
GOD GAVE YOU DOMINION. WHEN YOU ENTER THE SPIRITUAL PATH YOU TAKE THIS DOMINION. DON’T LET IT TELL YOU WHAT IT WANTS: YOU TELL IT.
THERE’S A PERIOD OF TRAINING. YOU NEED TO GIVE UP YOUR ABILITY TO JUDGE AND HATE PEOPLE: THEY’RE ONLY CONCEPTS. THE SAME IS TRUE RE. HEALING: YOU CAN’T SEE SICKNESS, SIN, LACK. YOU DON’T CHANGE THE PERSON OR MAKE THEM SEE DIFFERENTLY: YOU NEED TO SEE CORRECTLY YOURSELF. GIVE UP BELIEVING IN APPEARANCES.

BE SURE FIRST OF ALL THAT YOU HAVE A CONNECTION WITH YOUR SOURCE: THERE MUST BE A “CLICK” WHEN GOD IS ON THE FIELD. IT’S LIKE GIVING A TREATMENT AND YOU KNEW YOU COULDN’T STOP GIVING THE TREATMENT UNTIL YOU HAD THE ASSURANCE THAT GOD WAS ON THE FIELD. WHEN YOU ENTER A ROOM YOU BRING GOD WITH YOU. It Takes a Christ to recognize a Christ. And so it is that you need spiritual discernment to recognize the truth.
Crops are not material. ALL THAT EXISTS IS SPIRITUAL. GOD’S CREATION IS AN EMANATION OF ITS OWN BEING – NOT MALE NOR FEMALE. YOU ARE BOTH AS GOD IS. YOU ARE GOD IN INFINITE INDIVIDUAL MANIFESTATION. YOU WILL CONTINUE TO EXIST AS INFINITE BEING.

To Whom Does This Thought Arise? Not my true Self. -RM

What is the means for constantly holding on to the thought ‘Who am I?’

When other thoughts arise, one should not pursue them, but should inquire:
‘To whom do they arise?’

It does not matter how many thoughts arise. As each thought arises, one should inquire with diligence,
“To whom has this thought arisen?”.
The answer that would emerge would be “To me”.
Thereupon if one inquires “Who am I?”,
the mind will go back to its source;
and the thought that arose will become quiescent.
With repeated practice in this manner, the mind will develop the skill to stay in its source.

When the mind that is subtle goes out through the brain and the sense-organs, the gross names and forms appear;
when it stays in the heart, the names and forms disappear.

Not letting the mind go out, but retaining it in the Heart is what is called “inwardness” (antar-mukha).
Letting the mind go out of the Heart is known as “externalisation” (bahir-mukha). Thus, when the mind stays in the Heart, the ‘I’ which is the source of all thoughts will go, and the Self which ever exists will shine.

Whatever one does, one should do without the egoity “I”. If one acts in that way, all will appear as of the nature of Siva (God).

End misery by ending false I -RM

Search for the source of
the ‘I’-thought. That is all one
has to do. The universe exists
on account of the ‘I’-thought.
If that ends, there is an end
to misery also. The false ‘I’
will end only when its
source is sought.

CAN’T KILL (FALSE) MIND USING (FALSE) MIND.
End misery by ending false I.

Do you believe that is God’s word? -JSG

“Now we come to that place of recognition. Do you believe that this was the word of God? Do you believe that this was true? Do you believe that this was the Word as it is given to us in scripture? Do you believe that this is the very message that our Master was giving on the shore of Galilee? Do you believe that he was saying at that time the same truth you are reading here that you have water within your own being that is greater than all the water that is in Jacob’s well?”

Joel Goldsmith, “Showing Forth The Presence of God,” Chapter 7, Section: “Do We Trust The Word of God.”

Everything I see is love -RAdams

“Everything I see is love. I see love everywhere. In the clouds in the sky, in the tree, in the birds, in people, in the animals. I am able to see this because I am that myself. Nothing and no one can hurt me any longer. For I have become unhurt-able. No one can show me any evil anywhere because evil is not a power. It has no validity. It is just wrong thinking.

All is well, all is right, all is good. If you truly wish to repent just sit in silent meditation and see that perfect reality within, for all manner of evil merely arise in erroneous thought and like the morning dew before the rising sun can completely be eliminated through the magnificent wisdom and light. You are that light. You are that wisdom. And all is well.”

~ Robert Adams (20th century American Advaita mystic)

There is Pure Awareness that is
with you all the time, just awaiting
your recognition, awaiting your
understanding that you are not a
body, that you are a spirit, called
the Atman, Brahman, Absolute
Reality. This is who you really
are. This is your real nature.

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT IS NECESSARY. THOSE PEOPLE NEVER WERE OUR ENEMY. UNIVERSAL HYPNOTISM IS ALL THAT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR OUR PROBLEMS. IT’S WHAT CREATED THE I OF THE WORLD WHERE I WANTS THIS AND I NEEDS THAT. I NEVER HAS ENOUGH, IS NEVER SATISFIED, IS A STATE OF MESMERISM THAT LEADS TO PERSONAL SENSE. NO POWER IN HYPNOTISM. IT’S NO POWER UNLESS ABSOLUTE AS SUCH. HYPNOTIST MAKES STOOGES SEE A WHITE POODLE. SAME WITH DISEASE. You don’t heal the white poodle in the room or the rheumatism: THAT’S THE HYPNOTISM
JUST KEEP ONE TRUTH IN YOUR MIND AND ABIDE IN IT.
You can’t have hypnotism AND God.

You’re hypnotized in your bubble -RAdams

“For some reason you have been hypnotized to believe that you’re separate. So you’ve got to take action, you’ve got to work, you’ve got to stick up for your rights. You have to do all sorts of things. It’s just like when you’re dreaming you believe you have to do all kinds of things also. And then you find out your dream was just a bubble.

It came from nowhere and ends in nowhere. This world is exactly the same. What you think is the world is only an extension of your consciousness. The whole universe emanates out of your mind. You are dreaming the mortal dream right now, right this minute. Because you’re thinking there is you and me.

There are the trees outside, the flowers, there is furniture and you believe it’s all external to yourself. This is what keeps you back from your freedom, from your unalloyed happiness, from your total bliss. By thinking that the things of this world are apart from you.”

Self-enquiry vs Self-abidance -RSpira

What is it that is aware of our thoughts feelings desires etc? Whatever it is it is I. That’s what we call I.
WHO OR WHAT AM I ? AWAY FROM OBJECTIVE CONTENT AND TOWARDS THE SOURCE.
SELF-ENQUIRY STARTS WITH A QUESTION OR INVESTIGATION: WHO OR WHAT AM I?
Once that question has been asked there is nothing more for the mind to do.
WE ASK THE QUESTION THEN WAIT FOR THE ANSWER. THAT WAITING IS SELF-ABIDANCE (SANSKRIT FOR ATMA VICHARA).
Ramana Maharshi called it sinking into awareness. Christian Mystics call it practicing the presence of God. It is realizing that inquiry doesn’t really mean asking a series of questions and thinking thinking thinking but rather asked the one question and then exercise self abidance where the true self is not a thing that you think about the true self is that which knows and sees rather than the so called person asking.
Rumi called this non-process process “flow down and down and down into ever-widening rings of being.”
