The Thunder of Silence

THE TWO COVENANTS For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman. But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise. Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar. . . . But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all. GALATIANS 4:22–24, 26 In our humanhood, we are sons of the bondwoman, in subjection to the flesh and its claims, in bondage to the things, thoughts, and activities of the flesh, whether it be this flesh of the body or the flesh called money or other forms of human living. Living in and through the flesh as the offspring of the bondwoman, we are under the laws of matter, the laws of economics, and the laws of race, religion, and nationality—under the covenant “which gendereth to bondage.” The other covenant is that of our spiritual adoption, which comes through a conscious activity within our own consciousness and at a time when we are prepared for that transition, because the transition from humanhood to spiritual sonship is made only by Grace.

THE THUNDER OF SILENCE

Don’t cancel out your own healing!

Promise yourself one thing: not to cancel your own good efforts!
● I am created in the likeness of God.
□ I NEED money, health, favor, etc.
● Jesus’ work is entirely finished.
□ I missed out on that somehow.
● Man is the righteousness of God.
□ Whatever does that mean?
● Healings are happening all the time.
□ Just not for me!
STOP IT! STOP IT! STOP IT! STOP IT!
You’re canceling out your own healing!

“Seeing anew”

I M A G I N A T I O N : HOPE FULFILLED
– – – – – – – – –
Both the Bible and science tell us that these mortal bodies must first be transformed. After all, our bodies are meticulously designed to function in this particular four-dimensional universe with its particular thermodynamics, electromagnetism, and gravity. Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.50 In a flash . . . the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality.51 The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.52 These verses suggest we will still have “bodies,”or individual identities, in the realm to which we are headed, but these bodies will no longer experience fatigue, disease, or decay. Clearly, the laws governing their operation will be different from the laws governing our operation today. Our new bodies will be suited to our new environment. Imagine the screen people’s two-dimensional bodies trying to support the screen people anywhere but on the computer monitor’s surface. Such bodies would simply be too unstable, too limited and limiting. The same could be said of our present bodies in whatever dimensional realm He intends to place us. In the words of the apostle John, Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. ….. When we see Him with our own “eyes,” we will be seeing Him with a new and indescribable sight capacity. All our other capacities will be new, too. In fact, they will in several ways be capacities like His, capacities beyond our comprehension, capacities that enable us to participate fully in what He describes as “married life”at home with Him.

“Screen People”

I WOULD LIKE TO INTRODUCE YOU TO A GROUP OF PEOPLE KNOWN ONLY AS “SCREEN PEOPLE”. THEY ARE TWO-DIMENSIONAL BEINGS WHO RESIDE IN MY – AND NOW YOUR – IMAGINATION. THEY HAVE ONLY LENGTH AND WIDTH, BUT NO HEIGHT. BEING SINCERE SEEKERS OF TRUTH WHEREVER IT MAY BE FOUND, OF COURSE, WE WANT TO KNOW HOW THEY WOULD CHARACTERIZE THEIR GOD, SO DR. HUGH ROSS HAS COME FORTH WITH A LITTLE HELP FOR US IN “BEYOND THE COSMOS”:

…Imagine a plethora of debates among screen people who saw dots, lines (of different configurations), circles and ellipses (of different sizes), staying still or moving, appearing or disappearing, enlarging or shrinking. At some point, one group might band together to found the Church of the Three Circles, while another group launches the Ellipsoid Society; another, the Two Circle Fellowship; another, the Science of Lines; and yet another, the Church of the One True Ellipse. These groups might divide up through time, of course, and new groups begin as new interpretations of the revelations arise. The teachings of each group might be similar in some points, but for the most part sharply divergent. We can imagine the ensuing conflicts that might arise should attempts be made to overlook differences and to unite against big social problems. We can even imagine the cynicism of some screen people who say all this talk of higher beings means nothing; all that has appeared is some amazing but explicable (with enough research) screen phenomenon that, once understood, will usher in a new age of screen people consciousness. The great irony of the disagreement about the higher being is that none of these groups and individuals has more than a tiny clue about who that being is and what that being can do. All have an incredibly limited perspective on the attributes of the being, especially on the powers available to him or her.

DO YOU STILL THINK IT’S STRANGE TO PRESUME THAT JUST MAYBE OUR HEAVENLY FATHER (TRINITY AND ALL) RESIDES IN A REALM BEYOND OUR OWN?

Healing entails looking away from the picture.

When confronted with any human problem, instead of laboring for an improved human condition, turn from the picture and realize the presence of the divine Spirit in you. This Spirit dissolves the human seeming and reveals spiritual harmony, though to sight this harmony will appear as improved human health or wealth. When Jesus fed the multitude, it was his spiritual consciousness of abundance that appeared as loaves and fishes. When he healed the sick, it was his feeling of the divine Presence that appeared as health, strength, and harmony. This may all be summed up in Paul’s words: “Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.” We are living in a spiritual universe, but the finite sense has set a picture before us of limitation. While thought is on the picture before us – “this world” – we are engaged in the constant effort to improve or change it. As soon as we lift our vision – take thought off what we shall eat and drink and wear – we begin to behold spiritual reality which appears to us as improved beliefs, but which really is more-appearing of reality. This more-appearing reality brings with it joys untold here and now, pleasures beyond our wildest imagination and the love of all with whom we come in contact, even the love of those who do not know the source of the new life we have discovered. “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you; not as the world giveth, give I unto you.” “Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God . . . Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth . . . But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”

The Infinite Way

○●○●○● Putting on Immortality ●○●○●○
“IN THE BEGINNING was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. . . . And the Word was made flesh.” “The Word was made flesh” – but it still is the Word. By being made flesh it does not change its nature, character, or substance. Cause becomes visible as effect, but the essence or substance is still the Word, Spirit or Consciousness. In this wise, do we understand that there is not a spiritual universe and a material world, but rather that what appears as our world is the Word made flesh, Spirit made visible, or Consciousness expressed as idea. All the error that has existed down the ages is founded on the theory or belief of two worlds, one the heavenly kingdom, or spiritual life, and the other a material world or mortal existence, each separate from the other. In spite of this sense of two worlds, men have always attempted to bring harmony into the discords of human existence through an attempt, by prayer, to contact this other world, or spiritual realm, and to bring Spirit, or God, to act upon the so-called material existence. Let us begin with the understanding that our world is not an erroneous one, but rather that the universe in which we live is the realm of reality about which man entertains a false concept. The work of bringing health and harmony into our experience is not, then, getting rid of, or even changing, a mortal material universe, but correcting the finite concept of our existence.

God operates in at least eleven dimensions

IT’S REALLY OKAY TO ASK THE FAR-OUT QUESTIONS
– – – – – – – – – –
God’s dimensional advantage over us goes far beyond this one-dimensional difference. He can operate in at least the eleven dimensions established by the space-time theorems and string theory … and beyond. His capacity to maintain close and comprehensive contact with us —despite our incapacity to experience Him physically through our space-bound dimensions —becomes a comprehensible reality. We cannot begin to picture it, except perhaps by analogy, but it does make sense.

Beyond the Cosmos – A helpful hint on Re-Viewing some scriptures

TO . B-E-L-I-E-V-E

ABSOLUTELY

EVERYTHING !!

If you seek him, he will be found by you.44 Come near to God and he will come near to you.45 The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.46 The Lord is close to the brokenhearted.47 I [the Lord] live in a high and holy place, but also with him who is contrite and lowly in spirit.48 Anyone who comes to him [God] must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.49
This last verse appears to state necessary conditions for finding Him—believing in His existence and in His desire to reward our search for Him. Another way to look at this verse is to focus on the promise it holds. This promise is that an earnest search for Him will always be rewarded and never disappointed.

Time and timelessness are on our side!

NOT TIMELESSNESS BUT TIME-FULLNESS !!
It’s wonderful to know that God is where we’re ultimately going and we will hang with him through all eternity because in fact we’re ALREADY THERE! SO, when the notion of timelessness becomes part of the deal and begins to sound esoteric, dull and meaningless, we can re-cognize that in God’s multi-dimensional realm, we can enjoy glories heretofore unknown.
And we get to do that forever in what we may now wistfully dub “multiple time dimensions”.

A time-collapsing, mind-boggling miracle!

A BLOW-YOUR-MIND MIRACLE !!

Years ago I had a Bible reading project to do; all the passages were written down, so I went to a library of sorts to get started. The librarian said they were closing in a few minutes – and, sure enough, the clock confirmed it. I was so “into it” that I sat down and began my 30-45 minute reading. Next thing I knew the librarian was ushering me out the door. I thanked her profusely for having kept the place open late just for me. But she insisted that she didn’t and that I should look at the clock. I couldn’t believe my eyes! I had finished the entire reading project in less than five minutes! Time had collapsed – or expanded – in an inexplicable miracle!

Jesus was non-local. John 3:13 says no man has seen God at any time except the Son of man which came down from heaven; which also is in heaven.

He was standing on the earth claiming to be in heaven at the same moment. The quantum field is the bridge between realms in the spirit. He also passed right through the crowds thatcwere trying to throw him from the cliff. Did he de-materialize and rematerialize?

Someday we’ll look
At our feeble attempts
To describe the infinite
Almighty God,
And smile.
