SUBLIMINAL PERCEPTION, HYPNOTISM
CARNAL MIND, MORTAL MIND, MESMERISM
Subconscious universal unconscious automatic impersonal reaction
To rise in consciousness from one dimension to another you need help.
The help may not always be in the shape of a human person, it may be a subtle
presence, or a spark of intuition, but help must come.
The inner Self is watching and waiting for the son to return to his father.
At the right time he arranges
everything affectionately and effectively.
Where a messenger is needed or a guide, he sends the Guru to do the needful.
~ Guru Nisargadatta Maharaj
Nisarga Yoga: The Self Knowledge Teaching of Nisargadatta Maharaj
The ‘I’ in itself is pure harmony, joy, happiness. But when you identify the ‘I’ with your body-mind, it becomes the personal I which doesn’t even exist. But you’re making it exist. You’re identifying with it. Why do you want to identify with your personal I? Your personal I never existed. Why have you befriended it? Why do you keep giving it power? Why do you make it grow?

Last night I had an episode
True story
Trying to get into the Silence
Suddenly thought-particles started racing
Through my mind – such as it was.
Fifty percent negative
Fifty percent pure nonsense
A cacophony of noise
Screeching and racing!
Tried to silence it. Couldn’t.
Slowed it down long enough to
Enumerate a whole bunch of
Not-quite-right things happening
In my outer life.
Love gestures irreparably miss-taken,
Uncoverings should’ve stayed covered,
Noise! Noise! Noise!
How can I make it Shut Up??
Friends are drifting. Me too. But why?
I half expected to see the red-suited guy.
Louder now … and faster too …
Gonna crash methinks.
What in the world . . . .
AHA !! In the world you say?
Well guess what? I quit. I’m done.
It’s finished.
Coz I just looked down and saw
THERE ISN’T ANY !!

Turn movie off to see the screen. Not necessary.
We’re really searching for peace and joy and happiness, that does not come to an end. Yet when I tell you this is your real nature, this is what you really are, you do not quite understand this. The substratum of all existence, the source of all creation, is consciousness. Consciousness is simply another word for eternal happiness, for eternal peace and joy. That is you. You are that. You never were anything else.
Robert Adams
I have a mother.
.
After the death of Sri Ramakrisna, Sarada Devi was feeling a great emptiness in her life. However after his cremation, Ramakrishna appeared to Sarada Devi saying….
.
What are you doing? I have not gone away, I have only passed from one room to another. This vision greatly helped her and contrary to Hindu tradition ,she continued to wear a red-bordered Sari and ornaments. She was later criticized for doing this but she felt no reason to mark the death of Ramakrishna in the usual way.
.
After the passing of Ramakrishna she began to initiate many seekers into the Ramakrishna order. When her fame started to spread the number of disciples seeking initiation began to increase significantly. Unlike Ramakrishna, Sarada Devi was not picky about which disciples she accepted. Her motherly heart did not want to reject anybody who came for spiritual initiation.
.
I can never refuse anyone who addresses me as Mother.
.
It is also said she took on the sins of her disciples and her body suffered as a consequence. She also used to get up at 2am so that she could do sadhana, not for her benefit, but for the disciples she had accepted and whom she looked upon as a son or daughter.
.
I am the mother of the wicked, as I am the mother of the virtuous. Never fear. Whenever you are in distress, say to yourself, I have a mother.
.
– Sarada Devi
You are not a thing. You are not a body-thing or a mental-thing or an emotional-thing or a thing with a history in time. You are no-thing. You are consciousness itself. Let go of your attachment to thing-ness, and you will awaken to that which is the source of all things. You are that source. Go directly to that source. Don’t waste your lifetime defining yourself as a thing. Wake up from that dream, and you are free.
~ Adyashanti (20th-21st century American mystic)
