Consciousness, Source of all creation -RAdams
We’re really searching for peace and joy and happiness, that does not come to an end. Yet when I tell you this is your real nature, this is what you really are, you do not quite understand this. The substratum of all existence, the source of all creation, is consciousness. Consciousness is simply another word for eternal happiness, for eternal peace and joy. That is you. You are that. You never were anything else.
Robert Adams
My experience with April, no death of Sri Ramakrisna
I have a mother.
.
After the death of Sri Ramakrisna, Sarada Devi was feeling a great emptiness in her life. However after his cremation, Ramakrishna appeared to Sarada Devi saying….
.
What are you doing? I have not gone away, I have only passed from one room to another. This vision greatly helped her and contrary to Hindu tradition ,she continued to wear a red-bordered Sari and ornaments. She was later criticized for doing this but she felt no reason to mark the death of Ramakrishna in the usual way.
.
After the passing of Ramakrishna she began to initiate many seekers into the Ramakrishna order. When her fame started to spread the number of disciples seeking initiation began to increase significantly. Unlike Ramakrishna, Sarada Devi was not picky about which disciples she accepted. Her motherly heart did not want to reject anybody who came for spiritual initiation.
.
I can never refuse anyone who addresses me as Mother.
.
It is also said she took on the sins of her disciples and her body suffered as a consequence. She also used to get up at 2am so that she could do sadhana, not for her benefit, but for the disciples she had accepted and whom she looked upon as a son or daughter.
.
I am the mother of the wicked, as I am the mother of the virtuous. Never fear. Whenever you are in distress, say to yourself, I have a mother.
.
– Sarada Devi
You are no-thing at all Adyashanti
You are not a thing. You are not a body-thing or a mental-thing or an emotional-thing or a thing with a history in time. You are no-thing. You are consciousness itself. Let go of your attachment to thing-ness, and you will awaken to that which is the source of all things. You are that source. Go directly to that source. Don’t waste your lifetime defining yourself as a thing. Wake up from that dream, and you are free.
~ Adyashanti (20th-21st century American mystic)
Drop personal sense of I -JSG
Sow and reap = karma. Remember the tree and vine and don’t be cut off.
Drunk man on bus eventually said “thank you lady for praying for me. “
Don’t pray only for yourself.
No human thought, planning or lifting a finger.
Sacrifice all your wrong concepts.
Who are we to judge? -RAdams
It is only when we grow up and we become babbling idiots. And we start judging, choosing, coming to conclusions about good and bad, right or wrong, this or that. We start comparing and go through the whole nonsense. This is what keeps us back. This is what prevents us from waking up, our thoughts. If only we were like the tree, like a flower, it grows wherever you plant it, it doesn’t say to you, “I’d rather be planted across the street. Somebody else’s garden.” It accepts whatever is done to it and grows into a beautiful flower.
Take a look at yourself, all of your prejudices, all of your dislikes, all of the things you believe are wrong with the world. Who are you to believe anything is wrong with this world? Did you create this world? You had absolutely nothing to do with it. You find yourself as a guest. We have to co-habit with the trees, with the flowers, with the animals, with the minerals, with the people. We’re not here to change anything one iota. It is because of man changing things that he suffers. You have to learn to leave things alone, to leave ourselves alone. Do not be harsh with yourself. Start practicing this, being calm, peaceful, relaxed.” Robert Adams
3 steps to healing -JSG
You aren’t dealing with any shortcoming on your part. It is a universal impersonal claim of evil. You need to remind yourself very often during the day even for a few seconds of yori hidden manna. It is like living 2 lives simultaneously. Have a name for Spirit, God within you. If you are Chinese you might call it TAO. Refer to it all throughout the day. You need to rigorously get out all those unspiritual thoughts that you know are incorrect. Deal with them and love your Enemy. O throughout the day Correct your thinking. Correct your thinking about everything and everyone and maintain it by going to your source again and again and again. You must crucify the personal sense of self in order that Christ may live as you. You have never been guilty of any sins. .

Personal I gone = no body -RAdams
Don’t you see?
If the personal I is gone there is no body, there’s no mind, there’s only consciousness.
But as long as you believe there is a body, there’s a personal I. Therefore you cannot say, “I am consciousness appearing as a body.” That’s wrong. Consciousness does not appear as any body. It doesn’t have to.
Consciousness is always self-contained pure awareness. It is something we cannot even discuss, for there are no words to describe it. It’s something you have to find out for yourself. But I can tell you for sure, it has nothing to do with your body.
It has nothing to do with your experiences. It has nothing to do with karma.
It has nothing to do with your god.
It has nothing to do with the universe.
It has nothing to do with self-realization or liberation.
It just is.
And it is beyond our finite thinking. There are no words to describe the infinite.

NOTE: Personal “I” = Physical “I”. Robert Adams is clearly emphasizing we are NOT that “I”. (Rupert Spira drops the personal & physical distinction and likens “I” to God, Awareness, Oneself.) DrRobinStarbuck
