K: When fear arises from whatever cause, remain with it, without any momentum, without any movement of thought.
P: What is it then?
K: It is no longer the thing which I have associated with the past as fear. I would say it is energy held without any movement. When energy is held without any movement, there is an explosion. That then gets transformed.
All morning I had a question. But I didn’t know what the question was! So then I had two unknowns. It was most disconcerting! I yearned to go all the way Out of the “me” realm Of the Unreal. Didn’t care an iota about Rewards and accolades of flesh. Wanted to be where striving’s done And seeing all aright was my Healing gift to everyone. “Me” knew that there was a message A message that would consign her To having never existed at all. What is it? What can it be? “Unlike most people, you are Starting to see that there is NO UPPER LIMIT AT ALL. Humans love to compromise two realms Two realities, mis-connections Pulling them back down when they would soar But not you Robin and you’ve paid dearly But this is your prize – to try To share.”
This universe is a dream just as
when you are dreaming. No one can
ever tell you that the dream is a dream
as long as you are dreaming. Yet you
awaken from your dream, and the
dream never existed. It came
out of you and it returned to you.
This world in which we live is the
same thing. There is absolutely no
difference. You are living the mortal
dream. Consequently, great sages
have told us we have to identify with
Consciousness, with the Absolute
Reality, not with what is going on.
The only freedom we have got
is not to react to anything,
but to turn within and
know the truth.
Your nature is Peace and Happiness. Thoughts are the obstacles to realisation. One’s meditation or concentration is meant to get rid of obstacles and not to gain the Self. Does anyone remain apart from the Self? No! The true nature of the Self is declared to be Peace. If the same peace is not found, the non-finding is only a thought which is alien to the Self. One practises meditation only to get rid of these alien fancies. So, then, a thought must be quelled as soon as it rises.
Whenever a thought arises, do not be carried away by it. You become aware of the body when you forget the Self. But can you forget the Self? Being the Self how can you forget it? There must be two selves for one to forget the other. It is absurd. So the Self is not depressed; it is not imperfect: it is ever happy. The contrary feeling is a mere thought which has actually no stamina in it. Be rid of thoughts. Why should one attempt meditation? Being the Self one remains always realised, only be free from thoughts. ~Talks with Sri Ramana Maharshi, 462
So, you say, ‘I have suffered.’ I am not going to fight with you about it. But also there are people who experience a deep sense of gratitude or even joy behind their apparent suffering. I won’t call this suffering really, because there is no resistance here. They have understood and accepted that grace sometimes manifests as an intense inner burning that purges the being of conceptual and emotional toxins, and to that extent they remain in peace.
It has been said that the highest wisdom lies in detachment, or, in the words of Chung-Tzu, ‘The perfect man employs his mind as a mirror; it grasps nothing; it refuses nothing; it receives, but does not keep.’
Detachment means to have neither regrets for the past nor fears for the future; to let life take its course without attempting to interfere with its movement and change, neither trying to prolong the stay of something pleasant nor to hasten the departure of things unpleasant. To do this is to move in time with life, to be in perfect accord with its changing music, and this is called Enlightenment.
In short, it is to be detached from both the past and future and to live in the eternal Now. For in truth neither past nor future have any existence apart from this Now; by themselves they are illusions. Life exists only at this very moment…
You may believe yourself out of harmony with life and its eternal Now; but you cannot be, for you are life and exist Now—otherwise you would not be here. Hence the infinite Tao is something which you can neither escape by flight nor catch by pursuit; there is no coming toward it or going away from it; it is, and you are it.
HAPPINESS IS OUR DEFAULT STATE, OUR NATURAL STATE. IT HAPPENS WHEN WE RESET THE COMPUTER. I am happy before I wake up; as a matter of fact I don’t wake up, my body wakes up. My My teacher told me that I would be very happy one day and it did happen I am very happy. It’s not a personal thing. When we reboot the computer all the corrupted files are eliminated and we go back to our natural state. The belief that we are a separated self is the corrupted files and it’s like a virus which gets eliminated when we go back to our original default state.
