There is no matter. -Max Planck

THERE IS NO MATTER AS SUCH
As a man who has devoted his whole life to the most clearheaded science, to the study of matter, I can tell you as a result of my research about the atoms this much: There is no matter as such! All matter originates and exists only by virtue of a force which brings the particles of an atom to vibration and holds this most minute solar system of the atom together. . . . We must assume behind this force the existence of a conscious and intelligent Mind. This Mind is the matrix of all matter.

Talk to yourself about stopping the mind -RAdams

“[Stopping your mind is] so easy and yet so hard. The reason it appears hard is because you have become attached to your way of thinking, you have been attached to person, place and thing for so many years. You’re attached to your memories, to your body. This is the reason it appears difficult.

But when you begin to understand and realize there is no body, there is no attachment, there is only total freedom, the mind becomes totally annihilated. This is something you have to work with yourself.

This is something you have to talk to yourself about, something you have to see for yourself. Seeing is being. As you begin to see the great truth, that you are the imperishable Self, the mind will automatically run away and become dissolved.”

~ Robert Adams (20th century American Advaita mystic)

Self-knowledge, I, myself, key to happiness & peace w/o practice -RSpira

LIVE, INTERACTIVE WEBINAR WITH SPIRITUAL TEACHER RUPERT SPIRA, 40-YEAR NONDUALIST. HIS TEACHERS ARE KRISHNAMURTI, RUMI, RAMANA MAHARSHI, ROBERT ADAMS, JEAN KLEIN, *FRANCIS LUCILLE.
AWARENESS NOT ONLY LIES IN THE BACKGROUND OF, BUT ALSO PERVADES, ALL OF OUR EXPERIENCE.
It’s It’s not necessary to deny or repress or get rid of any experience. If we go deeply into the heart of any experience we find our true self there, peaceful. Awareness like the physical space in the Room in which you are sitting it’s always the same whether you were 10 years old or now.
AWARENESS = CONSCIOUSNESS = SELF
3 TERMS RUPERT USES INTERCHANGEABLY.
AWARENESS IS PRISTINE, PEACE, HAPPINESS, UN-RESISTED.
DON’T MAKE A PRACTICE OUT OF ANYTHING. IT’S TOO LATE FOR AWARENESS TO BE RESISTED: IT JUST IS.

Follow the I, not healing -RAdams

“We always imagine somebody’s going to heal us. We go and see all these healers, psychics, channelers, everybody in town. We want advice from psychic readings. We want to know what’s going to happen to us. What can possibly happen to you, if you were never born to begin with? You have no history. You are pure consciousness. Forget about healings. Forget about psychics. Forget about readers and channelers.

Look to your Self for the answers. Everything is within you. Learn to be still. Find out who’s worried, who fears, who’s unhappy, who’s depressed, who’s sick and you will say, ‘I am, but who am I?’ and follow the I to its source. And the ‘I’ will disappear of its own accord. The realization will come, that you are Absolute Reality and that all is well and everything is unfolding as it should.”

Can’t bring Spirit, God, to physical problem -JSG

I cannot repeat too often that failure comes directly from the attempt to bring God or Spirit into a human problem. It cannot be done because to God there are no human problems. To God there is no material universe. To say, “Oh, why doesn’t God heal me?” is useless. In the kingdom of God, there is nothing to be healed and no one to be healed, but we will never know that until we leave the realm of physical existence and attain a soul-quietness.

Then what we have been calling some discord in the physical body is not that at all. The body is a spiritual vehicle of life, a spiritual formation of life. It will not be that to us, however, while we are entertaining a concept of it in our thought as a physical structure, needing change, alteration, healing, or improvement.

Egoic sense of self needs conflict -ET

The egoic sense of self needs conflict
because its sense of a separate identity
gets strengthened in fighting against
this or that, and in demonstrating
that this is “me” and this
is not “me”.

Eckhart Tolle

its sense of a separate identity
gets strengthened in fighting against
this or that, and in demonstrating
that this is “me” and this
is not “me”.

Eckhart Tolle

Built into the very structure of the
egoic self is a need to oppose, resist,
and exclude to maintain the sense of
separateness on which its continued
survival depends. So there is “me”
against the “other,” “us”
against “them”.

Eckhart Tolle

They are looking outside

fulfillment, for validation,
security, or love, while they
have a treasure within that
not only includes all those
things but is infinitely
greater than anything
the world can offer.

Karma quotes: -Gita, RAdams, RM

Karma quotes:
.

“As the heat of a fire reduces wood to ashes, the fire of knowledge [jnana] burns to ashes all karma.”
~ Bhagavad Gita

“As you get closer to awakening there will be many upheavals in your life. Due to the fact, all of the karma is coming to you at once. That’s how it affects some people, not everyone. All of your karma that would take many incarnations to get rid of is coming to you all at one time. That’s why there appears to be upheavals in your life.”
~ Robert Adams

“If you plant a cactus, how will you reap mangoes?”
~ Kabir

“The Ordainer controls the fate of souls in accordance with their prarabdha karma (destiny to be worked out in this life, resulting from the balance sheet of actions in past lives). Whatever is destined not to happen will not happen, try as you may. Whatever is destined to happen will happen, do what you may to prevent it. This is certain. The best course, therefore, is to remain silent.”
~ Ramana Maharshi

When thinking body, ‘within’ seems to be -RM

  1. A student who is preparing his thesis for the Ph.D. degree asked:
    S. God is said to be immanent, how do you justify your confining Him to the heart?

Bh. God is said to reside in the Heart in the same way as you are said to reside in your body. Yet Heart is not a place.
Some place must be named as the dwelling of God for those who take their bodies for themselves and who comprehend only relative knowledge. The fact is neither
God nor we occupy any space. We are bodiless and spaceless in deep sleep, yet in the waking state we appear to be the opposite.

Atman or Paramatman is that from which the body is born, in which it lives, and into which it finally resolves.

Chapter: XIV. HEART, LIBERATION

Is not everything the work of God?

“Without desire, resolve, or effort,
the sun rises; and in its mere presence,
the sun-stone emits fire, the lotus blooms,
water evaporates; people perform their
various functions and then rest. Just as
in the presence of the magnet the needle
moves, it is by virtue of the mere presence
of God that the souls governed by the three

[cosmic]

functions or the four-fold divine
activity perform their actions and then rest,
in accordance with their respective karmas.
God has no resolve; no karma attaches
itself to Him. That is like worldly actions
not affecting the sun, or like the merits and
demerits of the other four elements not
affecting all-pervading space.”

No identity -Mooji

Pain and pleasure both belong
to the body, it is a package deal.
Once you take a body, you will
experience all the interrelated
opposites and contrasts of the
dance we call life. But this does not
mean you automatically suffer just
because the body is there. Identity
amplifies suffering. In impartial
and impersonal observation of
the body-mind functioning, pain is
perceived as a natural phenomenon.
Non-personal experiencing
is ‘itself’ freedom.

In the realm of sentient experience,
suffering is unavoidable. Where
there is strong psychological
and physical identity, there
is proportionate suffering – it
is the tax for having a body!

Mooji

Identification with this ‘I’ [with an identity] is the root of suffering. When you have a preference for a certain kind of experience, you suffer. When you have a preference for who you should learn from, you suffer. When you are constantly interpreting how things are or how they should be, what you deserve and what you do not deserve, you suffer. Wherever there is pride, attachment, judgement and desire, there is suffering. When we awaken from ignorance into our true nature, suffering is absent.

Mooji

Don’t belittle yourself nor raise yourself high.
Don’t say who you are, for you don’t know even that.
Just remain empty of identity and intention.
Keep quiet.
Let the Truth reveal who you are.
~ Mooji

Consciousness is all -RAdams

We forget that we are superimpositions
on the screen of life. And we are really
the screen, which is Consciousness. We
believe through many incarnations that we
are the image, we are a person, and there
are others, and there are external things to
contend with in this world. But these things
are false. The images are like water in the
mirage. When you try to chase the water,
you become disappointed, you grab
sand. This universe, my friends,
is an optical illusion.
