Kind of waking trance – Tennyson [JS]

A kind of waking trance (this for lack of a better word) I have frequently had quite up from boyhood. When I have been all alone. This has often come upon me through repeating my own name to myself silently, till all at once as it were out of the intensity of the consciousness of individuality the individuality itself seemed to dissolve and fade away into boundless being—and this not a confused state but the clearest of the clearest, the surest of the surest, utterly beyond words—where Death was an almost laughable impossibility—the loss of personality (if so it were) seeming no extinction but the only true life.

When you’re old – Yeats

William Butler Yeats

Portrait sketch of Yeats’s in 1908 by John Singer Sargent

When You Are Old
by William Butler Yeats
When you are old and grey and full of sleep,
And nodding by the fire, take down this book,
And slowly read, and dream of the soft look
Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;
How many loved your moments of glad grace,
And loved your beauty with love false or true,
But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you,
And loved the sorrows of your changing face;
And bending down beside the glowing bars,
Murmur, a little sadly, how Love fled
And paced upon the mountains overhead
And hid his face amid a crowd of stars.

I AM ~ Rowland Blythe

Hi everyone, the following came to me this morning during a meditation; so I thought I would share it, in case it is helpful to anyone. Much Love to you all, my wonderful Soul Family!

***

Here I AM!

Right here. Where have you been?

You think you have played prodigal for a while, lost Me.

You haven’t. Only I AM here.

How could you escape the arms of my Loving Allness? I have never gone anywhere. Never.

A million suns could come and go; a
million universes could burn up —

And I would be right here. Simply present. Waiting. With infinite tenderness and patience.

Why not rest a while? Let Me take your burdens. Let Me dry your eyes. Aren’t you tired?

Rest a while with Me. For I AM you.

I am all the Love you have ever dreamed of, and far, far more.

I have all the time in the world.

And here I AM.

Here, now. My Presence is so very simple.

Rest. Rest.

Brain wider than sky – Dickenson

632

The Brain—is wider than the Sky—
For—put them side by side—
The one the other will contain
With ease—and You—beside—

The Brain is deeper than the sea—
For—hold them—Blue to Blue—
The one the other will absorb—
As Sponges—Buckets—do—

The Brain is just the weight of God—
For—Heft them—Pound for Pound—
And they will differ—if they do—
As Syllable from Sound—

— Emily Dickinson
