Without labels you remain the infinite being -SB

“When I was born into this world, the only things I knew were to love, laugh, and shine my light brightly. Then as I grew, people told me to stop laughing. “Take life seriously,” they said, “if you want to get ahead in this world.” So I stopped laughing. People told me, “Be careful who you love if you don’t want your heart broken.” So I stopped loving. They said, “Don’t shine your light so bright as it draws too much attention onto you.” So I stopped shining. And became small. And withered. And almost died. Only to learn upon death that all that matters in life is to love, laugh, and shine our light brightly!
In the near-death state, I was more acutely aware of all that was going on than I’ve ever been in a normal physical state. I was extremely aware of every detail, but I couldn’t physically feel anything – except a release and a level of freedom I’d never known before. I felt no emotional attachment to my lifeless body as it lay there on the hospital bed. Every pain, ache, sadness, and sorrow was gone. I began to feel weightless and to become aware that I was able to be anywhere at any time… and this didn’t seem unusual. It felt normal, as though this were the real way to perceive things. I started to notice how I was continuing to expand to fill every space, until there was no separation between me and everything else. I encompassed – no, became – everything and everyone. Simultaneously I became aware that my brother was thousands of miles away on an airplane, coming to see me. I saw him and his worried look. I felt a sense of freedom and liberation that I’d never experienced in my physical life before. I can only describe this as the combination of joy mixed with a generous sprinkling of jubilation and happiness. A superb and glorious unconditional love surrounded me, wrapping me tight as I continued to let go. I didn’t feel as though I’d physically gone somewhere else – it was more as though I’d awakened. Perhaps I’d finally been roused from a bad dream. My consciousness was finally realizing its true magnificence and in doing so, it was expanding beyond my body and this physical world, until it encompassed not only this existence, but continued to expand into another realm that was beyond time and space, and at the same time included it. Love, joy, ecstasy and awe poured into me, through me, and engulfed me. I was swallowed up and enveloped in more love than I ever knew existed. I felt more free and alive than I ever had. As I described, I suddenly knew things that weren’t physically possible. The overwhelming sensations were in a realm of their own, and words don’t exist to describe them. The feeling of complete, pure, unconditional love was unlike anything I’d known before. Although I was no longer using my five physical senses, I had unlimited perception, as if a new sense had become available, one that was more heightened than any of our usual faculties. I had 360-degree peripheral vision with total awareness of my surroundings. And as amazing as it all sounds, it still felt almost normal. Being in a body now felt confining. My awareness in that expanded realm was indescribable, despite my best efforts to explain it. The clarity was amazing. And then I was overwhelmed by the realization that God isn’t a being, but a state of being… and I was now that state of being! In that state of clarity, I also realized that I’m not who I’d always thought I was: Here I am without my body, race, culture, religion, or beliefs… yet I continue to exist. I certainly don’t feel reduced or smaller in any way. On the contrary, I haven’t ever been this huge, this powerful, or this all-encompassing. I felt eternal, as if I’d always existed and always would without beginning or end. I was transformed in unimagenable clarity as I realized that this magnificent essence was really me. It was the truth of my being. The understanding was so clear: I was looking into a new paradigm of self, becoming the crystalline light of my own awareness. Nothing interfered with the flow, glory, and amazing beauty of what was taking place. I realized that the entire universe is alive and infused with consciousness, encompassing all of life and nature. We’re all that Unity – we’re all One. It was though I was enveloped in the oneness, the pure essence of every living being, without their pains, dramas, and egos. I understood that at the core, our essence is made of pure love. We are pure love – every single one of us.”
~ Anita Moorjani

“We are not our bodies, our possessions, or our careers. Who we are is Divine Love and that is infinite.
There is one grand lie – that we are limited. The only limits we have are the limits we believe.
Choose to see death as simply removing a garment or moving from one room to another… It’s merely a transition.
Remember that your natural state is joy. You have everything you need for complete peace and total happiness right now.
A mind at peace, a mind centered and not focused on harming others, is stronger than any physical force in the universe.
My purpose is to help people look at themselves and begin to shift their concepts. Remember, we are not our country, our race, or religion. We are eternal spirits. Seeing ourselves as spiritual beings without label is a way to transform the world and reach a sacred place for all of humanity.”
~ Wayne Dyer

“Some people get angry when they hear me say that problems are illusions. When you are full of problems, find the life underneath your life situation.
The collective disease of humanity is that people are so engrossed in what happens, so hypnotized by the world of fluctuating forms, so absorbed in the content of their lives, they have forgotten the essence, that which is beyond content, beyond form, beyond thought. They are so consumed by time that they have forgotten eternity, which is their origin, their home, their destiny. Eternity is the living reality of who you are.”
~ Eckhart Tolle

“To define yourself is to limit yourself. Without labels you remain the infinite being.”
~ Deepak Chopra

Solitude -SB

“Solitude is for me a fount of healing which makes my life worth living. Talking is often a torment for me, and I need many days of silence to recover from the futility of words.”
~ Carl Gustav Jung

“Solitude is dangerous. It’s very addictive. It becomes a habit after you realize how calm and peaceful it is. It’s like you don’t want to deal with people anymore because they drain your energy.”
~ Jim Carrey

“To practice solitude is to practice being in this singular moment, not caught in the past, not carried away by the future, and most of all not carried away by the crowd. You don’t have to go to the forest.”
~ Thich Nhat Hanh

“Be a loner. That gives you time to wonder, to search for the truth. Have holy curiosity. Make your life worth living.”
~ Albert Einstein

“Be alone, that is the secret of invention; be alone, that is when ideas are born.”
~ Nikola Tesla

“You have to get away from all that madness for a while because we become insane, we get confused with our roles, as being who we really are. Man is not his role. Man is something deeper than that. So, go into the forest or some place ALONE in nature, all by yourself, and find out who you really are! And when you no longer confuse yourself with your particular temporary body, but identify with the entire process of nature and the whole cosmos… When death comes, what a funny thing that will happen. Death comes, and will find no one to kill.”
~ Alan Watts

Intelligence vs. Thought -SB

“Intelligence has nothing whatsoever to do with thought.”
~ Jiddu Krishnamurti

“True intelligence does not derive from thought. True intelligence uses thought.
Thoughts in your head are really no different than the sound of a bird outside. It is just that you decide that they are more or less relevant.
Thoughts are just moving through consciousness. They have no power. Nothing has reality until you reach it, grab it, and somehow impregnate it with the power of belief.”
~ Adyashanti

“No thought has any power. You have power. And when you identify and believe in the thought, you give power to the thought.
We are the space in which thoughts appear, play, and dissolve like clouds drifting in the infinite sky.”
~ Mooji

“We’re sitting under the tree of our thinking minds, wondering why we’re not getting any sunshine!”
~ Ram Dass

“Look past your thoughts, so you may drink the pure nectar of this moment.”
~ Rumi

“Under the obsessive thoughts, positive and negative, there is an ocean of peace.”
~ Gangaji

“If you don’t refer to a thought or memory, do you have any experience of suffering?
See thoughts and feelings like a train that enters a station and then leaves; be like the station, not like a passenger.”
~ Rupert Spira

“Leave your front door and your back door open. Let thoughts come and go. Just don’t serve them tea.”
~ Shunryu Suzuki

“When a thought hurts, that’s the signal that it isn’t true.
Reality is always kinder than your thinking.”
~ Byron Katie

“There is a region beyond thoughts. Unless you get there, you will not know the sweetness of love, nor the Divine.
Once your mind becomes absolutely still, your intelligence transcends human limitations.”
~ Sadhguru

“If you are absolutely without thoughts, just pure consciousness, time stops completely, disappears, leaving no trace behind.
Mind is your prison, no-mind is your freedom. Mind is your ignorance, no-mind is your enlightenment. Move from mind to no-mind. This is the whole path.
In the space of no-mind, truth descends like light.”
~ Osho

“I think 99 times and find nothing. I stop thinking, swim in silence, and the truth comes to me.”
~ Albert Einstein

“Thinking is only a small aspect of consciousness. Thought cannot exist without consciousness, but consciousness does not need thought.
The primary cause of unhappiness is never the situation but your thoughts about it.
The human condition: lost in thought. Thinking without awareness is the main dilemma of our existence.
Thinking is compulsive: you can’t stop, or so it seems. It is also addictive: you don’t even want to stop, at least not until the suffering generated by the continuous mental noise becomes unbearable.
Observe your thoughts, don’t take them too seriously. Spiritual awakening is awakening from the dream of thought.
Being must be felt. It can’t be thought.”
~ Eckhart Tolle

“Don’t think. Feel. It is like a finger pointing at the moon. Do not concentrate on the finger, or you will miss all of the heavenly glory.
The primary reality is not that I think, but that I live, for those also live who do not think.”
~ Bruce Lee

“We are completely unaware of our true nature because we identify ourselves with our body, our emotions and our thoughts, thus losing sight of our unchanging centre, which is pure consciousness.
You are primal awareness. Life is only primal awareness. Between two thoughts or two perceptions you are. You know moments in your life when a thought completely disappears into silence, but still you are.”
~ Jean Klein

“We are taught since childhood to identify ourselves as thinkers and to always be thinking about something, so we miss the fact that who we truly are is the awareness from which the thoughts originate.”
~ Enza Vita

“After knowing Eckhart Tolle for a while and studying the books, I woke up and suddenly got it. I understood suddenly how thought is just illusory, and that thought is responsible for most, if not all of the suffering we experience. And then I suddenly felt like I was looking at thoughts from another perspective, and I wondered, who is it that is aware that ‘I’ am thinking? And suddenly I was thrown into this expansive amazing feeling of freedom – from myself, from my problems. I saw that I am bigger than what I do, bigger than my body. I am everything and everyone. I am no longer a fragment of the universe. I am the universe.”
~ Jim Carrey

“The only burden you have ever had is your mind.
The problems are in the thoughts.
The only way to get rid of your problems is to quiet your mind, go within, and realize the Self.
When the mind is quiet, you shine in all your glory.”
~ Robert Adams

“All your problems are just thoughts. And thoughts are not a problem.
Just as the ocean allows every wave, Awareness allows every thought and feeling.”
~ Jeff Foster

“The ocean doesn’t complain about the dance of ten million waves; so don’t be concerned with the rise and fall of thoughts.
Let the mind sleep; you stay awake.
When the mind is quiet, all is the Self.”
~ Papaji

“Don’t believe your thoughts. ‘I am the body’ is a thought. ‘I am the mind’ is a thought. ‘I am the doer’ is a thought. Worry is only a thought. Fear is only a thought. Death is only a thought.
When all thoughts are stilled, Pure Consciousness remains over. To bring about peace means to be free from thoughts and to abide as Pure Consciousness.
The thoughts change but not you. Let go the passing thoughts and hold on to the unchanging Self.”
~ Ramana Maharshi

“Understanding is not birthed by a mental process any more than blue sky is created by a clearing in the clouds.”
~ Wu Hsin

Quit looking for enlightenment experience -RSpira

“When the Zen teacher Shunryu Suzuki was once asked why he never referred to his enlightenment experience, his wife, who was sitting in the back of the hall, stood up and said, ‘Because he never had one!’ The recognition of our true nature is not an exotic experience. Indeed, it is not an experience at all.
In this recognition, our essential, irreducible, self-aware being simply loses its apparent limitations and its reality stands revealed: open, transparent, luminous, indestructible, unborn and undying.”

~ Rupert Spira

Is Jesus relevant? -SB various

“Had I lived in Palestine, in the days of Jesus of Nazareth, I would have washed his feet, not with my tears, but with my heart’s blood!”
~ Swami Vivekananda

“Some of the first human beings in whom the new consciousness emerged fully became the great teachers of humanity, such as Jesus, although their teachings were greatly misunderstood, especially when they turned into organized religion. They were the first manifestations of the flowering of human consciousness.
Was Jesus divine? Yes. But so are you. You just haven’t realized it yet.”
~ Eckhart Tolle

“Jesus Christ knew he was God. So wake up and find out eventually who you really are. In our culture, of course, they’ll say you’re crazy and you’re blasphemous, and they’ll either put you in jail or in a nut house (which is pretty much the same thing). However, if you wake up in India and tell your friends and relations, ‘My goodness, I’ve just discovered that I’m God,’ they’ll laugh and say, ‘Oh, congratulations, at last you found out.’”
~ Alan Watts

“I am a Jew, but I am enthralled by the luminous figure of the Nazarene. No one can read the Gospels without feeling the actual presence of Jesus. His personality pulsates in every word.
If one purges the Judaism of the Prophets and Christianity, as Jesus Christ taught it, of all subsequent additions, especially those of the priests, one is left with a teaching which is capable of curing all the social ills of humanity.”
~ Albert Einstein

“Jesus Christ has brought light to the world. We hope that children like him will be born to us every moment of our daily lives.
Jesus Christ is still manifesting himself in many thousands of ways. He is manifesting himself all around you. We need to be alert in order to recognize his manifestations. If you are not mindful or attentive, you will miss him.”
~ Thich Nhat Hanh

“Yes, Jesus was a fully enlightened being just like Buddha.
Jesus lived a very human life, utterly human – with great godliness, but he lived a human life. He is a rare master in that way. He moved with gamblers, drunkards; there is every possibility that once in a while he may have played poker. And I don’t see that there is anything wrong in it. He used to drink wine, he enjoyed it. And I don’t think that there is anything wrong in it once in a while; it is sheer playfulness. Don’t become addicted to it. He was not addicted to it, but he participated in the ordinary life. There is every possibility that Mary Magdalene fell in a very human kind of love with him, and it cannot be just one-sided – he may have responded. But Christians will feel offended – a prostitute falling in love with Jesus! And Jesus may have responded in a human way. In fact, he was such a courageous man, such a rebel, that he must have responded in a human way.
The whole effort of a Jesus or a Buddha is nothing but how to undo that which society has done to you.”
~ Osho

“When Jesus said, ‘Except through me’, he was speaking of the Self, not the body, but people have misunderstood this. On another occasion Jesus said, ‘The kingdom of heaven is within you.’ He did not mean that it is within the body. This ‘you’ Jesus spoke of is infinite consciousness.”
~ Annamalai Swami

“There is only the infinite self of pure Awareness, refracted into an apparent multiplicity and diversity of finite forms, but never ceasing to be itself. This is what Jesus meant when he said, “The kingdom of the Father is spread out upon the earth, and men do not see it.” All the great sages from all times and all places have said or expressed this in one way or another. This is the one true revolution. At the root of all desire for change is this ultimate desire: to know only the reality of all experience; to know only love. Unless and until the problems facing humanity are traced back to their ultimate source – the ignoring of this reality – they may be temporarily alleviated but will never be truly solved.”
~ Rupert Spira

“Let us meditate until we perceive the Infinite Christ reigning in our own hearts. Let us learn to love those who love us not; and to forgive those who do ill against us. Let us break all our mental boundaries of color, creed, and nationality, and receive all – even our inanimate and animal brothers – in the endless, all embracing arms of our Christ Consciousness. This will be a true and fitting celebration of the coming of Jesus Christ to this earth.”
~ Paramahansa Yogananda

“Peace is not the absence of trouble, but the presence of Christ.”
~ Sheila Walsh

All is well now -SB various

“All is always well, even when it seems unbelievably unwell.”
~ Adyashanti

“All is well, all is well. Though everything is a mess, all is well.”
~ Anthony de Mello

“Seen from a higher perspective, conditions are always positive. To be more precise: they are neither positive nor negative. They are as they are. And when you live in complete acceptance of what is – which is the only sane way to live – that is the end of all drama in your life.”
~ Eckhart Tolle

“In the vastness of the cosmos, everything is going perfect, but one nasty little thought in your mind can make it a bad day. That is lack of perspective.”

~ Alice Walker

“There are no accidents whatsoever in the universe.”
~ Ram Dass

“Without your story, you’re perfectly fine. When there’s no story, there’s no suffering.
Life is simple. Everything happens for you, not to you.
Nothing ever goes wrong in life.”
~ Byron Katie

“All is well. Take rest. Find and feel your Heart again.
We are never without grace.”
~ Mooji

“God is, and all is well.”
~ John Greenleaf Whittier

“Every night in sleep God takes away all your troubles to show you that you are not a mortal being; you are spirit.
What are you afraid of? You are an immortal being. You are neither a man nor a woman, as you may think, but a soul – joyous, eternal.”
~ Paramahansa Yogananda

“Everything will be okay in the end. If it’s not okay, it’s not the end.”
~ John Lennon

“I want to let you in on a little secret. There are no problems. There never were any problems, there are no problems today, and there will never be any problems. The reality in back of the universe is pure awareness. It has no problems. And you are that.
Always remember deep in your heart that all is well and everything is unfolding as it should. There are no mistakes anywhere, at any time. What appears to be wrong is simply your own false imagination. That’s all.
All is well. All is perfectly well. Never forget that. Do not think about it. Do not try to analyze it. Just accept it in your heart. All is well, period, end.”
~ Robert Adams

~ Hafiz

“Within you is the light of a thousand suns. Within you is unimaginable beauty.”
~ Robert Adams

“Our self – luminous, open, empty Awareness – cannot be enlightened. It is already the light that illuminates all experience. Nor can a separate self be enlightened, for when the separate self faces the light of Awareness, it vanishes, just as a shadow does when exposed to the sun.”
~ Rupert Spira

”No matter how long the room has been dark, an hour or a million years, the moment the lamp of awareness is lit, the entire room becomes luminous. You are that luminosity. You are that clear light.”
~ Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche

“Instead of fighting the darkness, you bring in the light.
You cannot fight against darkness. The light of consciousness is all that is necessary. You are that light.
You are the consciousness that illuminates the world. Know yourself as that, and that’s freedom, liberation, awakening, the end of suffering and madness.”
~ Eckhart Tolle

“Don’t you know yet? It is your light that lights the worlds.”
~ Rumi

“The world shines because of my light: without me, nothing is. It is in me that thoughts and feelings rise and set. I am their changeless witness. I am the Light of Consciousness in all thoughts and perceptions and the Light of Love in all feelings.”
~ Atmananda Krishna Menon

“There is a light that shines beyond all things on earth, beyond the heavens, beyond the highest, the very highest heavens. This is the light that shines in your heart.”
~ Chandogya Upanishad

“Whether you worship Christ, Krishna, Kali or Allah, you actually worship the one light that is also in you, since it pervades all things. Everything originates from light, everything in its essence is light.”

“I am the light of the world.
You are the light of the world.”
