Neville’s degree of Consciousness

If the world were to awaken to Neville’s degree of Consciousness, the ever-present Kingdom of God would be seen in all its glory and Christ Jesus’ finished work would become clearly visible to all.

Whatever circumstance that you may be going through, consider the work of the Lord. Everything around us is meant to work together for our good. Even if, from our limited perspective, we ask God, “How is this working towards my good?”

Life seems difficult because it is through the trials and tribulations that rare characteristics, as refined gold, can emerge from our innermost being. These characteristics are born from adversity, and are tools that we use further on down our journey of life. Are you experiencing a trial? As Graham Cooke says, “Consider it as an upgrade!”

We move from faith to faith, and glory to glory. Faith is always a now thing. However, the faith that sustains us now is constantly growing and expanding. The rate at which our faith is constantly growing and expanding is in direct proportion to the amount “needed” to meet whatever demand that arises. This is the nature of Grace. It comes at us in waves that is referred to in John 1:16 which says “Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given.” From this understanding, we can “learn” to never fear. As David says “I have been young, and now I am old, but one thing has stayed true, I have never seen the righteous forsaken, or seen his seed begging for bread.”

So in this time of seeming uncertainty, take heart and DO NOT FEAR! We are crossing a threshold into new ways of understanding the God that resides in us. We cannot use the manna of yesterday to sustain us today. We must trust that whatever we need will arise as we stay in faith. The key is to not look outside of yourself, but look to Christ, in you, the hope of glory, which has taken up residence in your heart. We are in for quite a ride, but you have been well equipped for this race. Believe this, and it shall be so…….selah……….

Neville Lancelot Goddard (1905-1972) was an influential Metaphysics teacher and New Thought/New Age author.[1]
Biography
Neville Goddard was born on 19 February 1905 in St. Michael, Barbados in the British West Indies, to Joseph Nathaniel Goddard,[2][3] a merchant, and Wilhelmina Nee Hinkinson.[4][5] Neville was the fourth child in a family of nine boys and one girl.
In 1922 he came to the United States on board the S.S. Vasari to study drama at the age of seventeen. He became a dancer, and during this time he married his first wife, and they had a son together,[6] named Joseph Neville Goddard.[7] While touring with his dance company in England he developed an interest in metaphysics after striking up a conversation with a Scotsman who lent him a series of books on the powers of the mind. Upon his return to New York he gave up the entertainment industry to devote his full attention to the study of spiritual and mystical matters.
Neville Goddard’s first marriage was short lived, and he remained single for years until in the 1930s he met his second wife, who was a designer.[6] After they married, they had a daughter named Victoria or “Vicky”.[8] In 1943, he was drafted into the U.S. Army at age 38,[9] which he did not want, especially since he felt he was too old to become a soldier and had a wife and daughter at home to take care of. Through the power of imagination, as Neville told it in his March 24, 1972 lecture,[9] he was honorably discharged after just a few weeks of training. One consequence of his brief Army training was that he received full United States citizenship, having been a British citizen up to this point.[9]
Abdullah
Goddard’s interest in esoteric interpretations of the Bible deepened after he met Abdullah, an Ethopian Jew who lectured on Esoteric Christianity and taught both Goddard and Joseph Murphy. Neville went to hear him somewhat under protest to satisfy the constant urging of a friend, saying “I recall the first night I met Abdullah. I had purposely delayed going to one of his meetings because a man whose judgement I did not trust had insisted on my attendance. At the end of the meeting, Ab approached me and said: ‘Neville, you are six months late.’ Startled, I questioned how he knew my name, when he said: ‘The brothers told me you would be here six months ago.’ Then he added: ‘I will remain until you have received all that I must give you. Then I will depart.’ He, too, may have longed to go, but he had to wait for me.”[10][11] From this introduction, Neville studied with Abdullah learning Hebrew, the Kabbalah, and the hidden symbolic meaning of Scripture.[12]
Lectures
After traveling extensively throughout the United States, Neville eventually made his home in Los Angeles where, in the 1950s, he gave a series of talks on television and radio, and for many years lectured regularly to capacity audiences at the Wilshire Ebell Theater.[13] In the 1960s and early 1970s, he confined most of his lectures to Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco.
In his early lectures and books Neville dealt solely with what he called The Law, the technique of creating one’s physical reality through imagining. It is this portion of his expression that most closely accords with the teachings of the New Thought movement. In describing The Law, Neville related how he made a sea voyage from New York to see his family in Barbados during the Depression, without any money of his own.[14]
He related how, by the use of imaginal power, he was honorably discharged from military service to continue his lectures during World War II.[15] He gave his audiences in San Francisco in the 1950s and 1960s accounts of how others had made use of The Law.[16] He discussed it on television in the Los Angeles area, saying, “Learn how to use your imaginal power, lovingly, on behalf of others, for Man is moving into a world where everything is subject to his imaginal power.”
The Promise and The Law
In the year 1959, he began to experience what he called “The Promise.” He later wrote, “I did not know of The Promise until I began to experience it and have it unfold within me beginning that summer and continuing during the next three-and-one-half years. And this is Scriptural; read it in the Book of Daniel where it is referred to as ‘a time, times, and a half.’ It comes to 1260 days in your experience of it.”
In the latter part of the 1960s and early 1970s Neville gave more emphasis to The Promise than to The Law. One could use imaginal power to change one’s circumstances, he said, but it would be temporary, “…and will vanish like smoke.” He went on to explain that The Promise superseded The Law, claiming “Oh, you can use it [The Law] to make a fortune, to become known in the world, all these things are done, but, your true purpose here is to fulfil Scripture.” After subordinating The Law to The Promise, he became as eager to hear accounts by those who had experienced The Promise, and sharing such accounts, as he had earlier of those with The Law.
Neville’s theological view of The Promise includes both the cosmology of union with the Godhead after death, and future restoration for those who do not accept The Promise during their lives. Of The Promise, he said “You do not earn it; it is a gift, it is all grace. God’s promise is unconditional; God’s law is conditional.”[17] and comes in its own good time. If you do not experience it in this life, he said, “You pass through a door, that’s all that death is, and — you are restored to life instantly in a world like this, just this world” [and] you go on there with the same problems you had here with no loss of identity – not old, not blind, not crippled, if you depart this life that way, but young.” In this restorationist afterlife, he said of people there, “They grow, and they marry, and they die there, too, with all the fear of death that we have here. And if they die there without experiencing The Promise, they are restored to life again and again in a place best suited to the work yet to be done in them. And it continues until ‘Christ be formed in You’ and as ‘Sons of The Resurrection’ you leave this world of death never to enter it again.”
In response to questions about the fear of eternal hell and damnation that many have, Neville replied with a quote from Scripture, “’Not one shall be lost in all my holy mountain.’ You are God and how could God eternally condemn Himself?” Until we awaken and make this discovery, he said, we are privileged to use a Law, given by God, to “cushion the blows of life.”[11] The Law, stated succinctly is this, In Neville’s words: “Imagining creates reality”.[18][19]
In the last years of his life he said, “I know my time is short. I have finished the work I have been sent to do and I am now eager to depart. I know I will not appear in this three-dimensional world again for The Promise has been fulfilled in me. As for where I go, I will know you there as I have known you here, for we are all brothers, infinitely in love with each other.”[20]
Neville Goddard died at the age of 67 on October 1, 1972, in Los Angeles. His work is being preserved on the Internet.

Inner conversations

Have you been cheated?
Badly?
Repeatedly?
And you just can’t let it go?
May I ask you one question, please?
Who would you rather have restore you –
Him or her?
Or, God?
Talk to yourself differently now:
“Thank God I’m completely whole and free,
And so far above my self of yesterday.
I don’t need Jan or Jon to change anything
As I am soaring so far above all of that
And can now look upon everyone
With the tenderest love and compassion
And be exactly who God created me to be.

Cannonball

SOMEWHERE BETWEEN 12 AND 15 YEARS OF AGE, I HEARD OF A UNIQUE DIVE called the cannonball. I had been watching some of the older kids dive into the river with amazing elegance. I began to reason that a cannonball is very do-able and has perfect safety measures built into it: you jump up and grab both legs tightly and tuck your head in as you jump off the diving board. You could then spin around as much as you want in any direction as it doesn’t matter at which angle your body hits the water ’cause you’re as round as a ball. I COULD COMPLETELY IMAGINE THIS !!! . Then my tender young mind reasoned (all mentally so far) that one could form a cannonball and at the last minute open up into a beautiful dive. All totally imaginable! Finally I tried it: after five or six successful cannonballs (no belly-flops!), I began to open up at the last moment. It was surreal!! . What a thrill!! . Soon I began applying this IMAGINATION to back flips!!! . Wooo-hoo!!

How did Jesus heal?

“WHERE 99.99% OF BELIEVERS FAIL IS THAT THEY LOOK TOWARD THEIR CIRCUMSTANCES TO VERIFY THAT WHICH THEY BELIEVE.”
Brian Lawrence
°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°
Neville teaches that the Kingdom of God is within us, and that this world is the outpicturing of our imagination. As a man thinks in his heart (beliefs), so is he, and guard your heart with all diligence, for out of it flows the issues of life. These two pieces of scripture describe how life is lived. We are not experiencing life as if we were dropped into a movie that is constantly ongoing, but rather, the movie IS OF OUR CREATION. That is how he talks on stopping time/space and recreating as necessary. EVERYTHING IS SUBJECT TO THE DREAMER WHICH IS GOD IN YOU! How did Jesus heal people? He imagined them well, and in their agreement through belief, it sealed it as true. Boom, any two agreed and touched and it was so. Neville never really touched on quantum physics, but in my own studies, I know the quantum field to be the “substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen.” Our thoughts are of the quantum realm. Just like the video of the train, the perspective that we choose to take literally becomes true! We can CHOOSE to shift into any reality that we prefer. It is called “quantum leaping.” [Quantum jumping is the shifting yourself into an alternate reality of yourself that already exists. “You are somewhere in your future, and you look much better than you look right now.”]
We no longer have to abide by the crude tasks of physically forming our environment around us, we believe it to be so, and at a quantum level, forces shift to support that thing believed. Where 99.99% of believers fail is that they look toward their circumstances to verify that which they believe. That belief undermines one’s belief that “we walk by faith, and not by sight.” Once we believe something to be true inside of us, the outside is surely to manifest, even if it seems to take longer than expected. “Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him.” This is Job, channeling the pre-incarnate Spirit of Christ, and the ultimate in power over death. We know that we have been given power over death, when we KNOW that though our bodies may wear out, and we APPEAR TO DIE, the Spirit of LIFE is so one with us, that we will be raised up, because life is life, and that is just who we are. Everything is happening within us. This life is a classroom that teaches the sons of God to overcome limitations imposed, that require the mastering of this realm called death and hell. BTW, hell is just the state of existence without (sin) the knowledge of one’s origination. Heaven is the state of being fully aware of one’s righteousness in Christ. It is not a place in the traditional sense. Heaven is in our thoughts created by our higher nature, and hell is in our thoughts created by our base nature, or physical needs. The two trees discussed in Genesis are the two foundations FROM which all thoughts are formed. Dualistic thoughts are created from our lower nature, and the knowledge of ONENESS, and UNION with the Father, is created from the mind of Christ. I could go on forever, but I see that I have written quite the book just now. Maybe I will do just that, as I feel that someone needs to pick up where Neville left off.

Eschatology 101 – Definitions

Beast – secular government
Harlot – religion
Mark of the Beast – mindset of one indoctrinated through secular government
Christ – the mindset of one set free from the world system
AntiChrist – “in place of” Christ. The mindset of the world system that declares “government is the answer”

Just beginning to knock over some incorrect definitions of common “end time phrases,” that will open people up to being able to understand Bible prophecy. It is all a pattern, not a history book. Comments welcome.

Anonymous: “Would call it Preterism 101”

Actually no. My “theology” cannot be labeled. This is not preterism, as I only believe that scripture is fulfilled as if a script has already been written, but I am experiencing it in me. Big difference. It is a pattern that plays out in the ages.
Brian Lawrence

We’re conscious of being what we have decreed.

Can man decree a thing and have it come to pass? Most decidedly he can! Man has always decreed that which has appeared in his world and is today decreeing that which is appearing in his world and shall continue to do so as long as man is conscious of being man. Not one thing has ever appeared in man’s world but what man decreed that it should. This you may deny, but try as you will you cannot disprove it, for this decreeing is based upon a changeless principle. You do not command things to appear by your words or loud affirmations. Such vain repetition is more often than not confirmation of the opposite. Decreeing is ever done in consciousness. That is: every man is conscious of being that which he has decreed himself to be. The dumb man without using words is conscious of being dumb. Therefore he is decreeing himself to be dumb. When the Bible is read in this light you will find it to be the greatest scientific book ever written. Instead of looking upon the Bible as the historical record of an ancient civilization or the biography of the unusual life of Jesus, see it as a great psychological drama taking place in the consciousness of man. Claim it as your own and you will suddenly transform your world from the barren deserts of Egypt to the promised land of Canaan.

Awareness of being as God: Neville Goddard

The awareness of being as God is stated hundreds of times in the New Testament. To name but a few: “I AM the shepherd, I AM the door; I AM the resurrection and the life; I AM the way; I AM the Alpha and Omega; I AM the beginning and the end;” and again, “Whom do you say that I AM?” It is not stated, “I, Jesus, am the door. I, Jesus am the way,” nor is it said, “Whom do you say that I, Jesus, am?” It is clearly stated, “I AM the way.” The awareness of being is the door through which the manifestations of life pass into the world of form. Consciousness is the resurrecting power – resurrecting that which man is conscious of being. Man is ever out-picturing that which he is conscious of being. This is the truth that makes man free, for man is always self-imprisoned or self-freed.
